Agram 2000 Submachine Gun. Created In Croatia
-
Only a few examples of the Croatian Agran 2000 submachine are believed to have been produced since 1997.
The most characteristic design feature of the Agram 2000 is its thumb-hole foregrip that ensures a solid two-hand hold. The pistol grip is highly ergonomic with indentations for each finger. The curved trigger unit sits within a thick trigger ring. The cocking handle is set to the left side of the receiver just above the magazine. A fire selector lever is found just above the trigger system that allows for safety, single-shot and full-automatic levels of fire. The forend barrel encasement is perforated for heat dispersion and sports a forward iron sight. Rear sighting is via a flip-up installation that is ranged out to 150 meters. A rate of fire of 800 rounds per minute is reported. The barrel protrudes just a small distance away from this assembly and can sport a silencer over the muzzle is need be. Construction of the weapon system is primarily of molded plastic and stamped metal. Interestingly, there does not seem to be provision for any type of buttstock. The Agram 2000 is compact, measuring in at just 13.8 inches without the silencer fitted.
The only other notable model in the Agram 2000 series is the Agram 2002 which is nothing more than the former without the distinct thumb-hole forward grip fixture.
