Absolutely great to hear that Efteling might finally be installing a world class coaster! 50mil is huge!
However it is at Efteling meaning there is about a 25% chance of it actually being operational on any given day
Heiße Fahrt at Frezeitpark Klotten was the goal of my most recent stupid daytrip from the UK, and while I was expecting it to be a fun family coaster, what I didn't expect was one of the most underrated coasters in Germany.
I think it's my favourite gerstlauer bobsled! It features some really...
21/06/2024 - Kentucky Kingdom (Day 2)
After what can only be described as an incredibly action packed first day with some long park hours I would have to get used to, and after a sleep that wasn't nearly long enough, it was time for me to check out of my hotel and continue on my wild journey...
20/06/2024 - Kings Island (Day 1)
I had a very comfortable nights sleep and woke up to what would quickly become a staple of my daily routine; the American Budget Hotel Breakfast Buffet. These are by no stretch of the imagination good, however I found them oddly comforting. One of the staples...
This trip report is long overdue, but it's a trip that I really want to relive, so I'm going to relive it right here for your entertainment (and probably education. there's some shenanigans here)
For reference, I do not drive. All journeys on this trip were either taken by people offering...
I really like the way it moves and throws you around. You have to brace for every element. It has character. The first drop is one of the best in the world. The hills, yes, *do* have airtime, and I really like the weird jerky arrow lateral slams. It's fun. It's vibey. It feels significant.
I...
I certainly agree; I definitely think it's a subject worth a revisit in 2026 now that a few years have passed and the coaster market in the UK has grown a bit, and of course tastes evolve.
#1. Big One, Pleasure Beach Resort | #28/721
#2. Hyperia, Thorpe Park | #39/721
#3. Megafobia, Oakwood...
My favourite stall is Steel Vengeance's, but I wouldn't tell you it's a good 'stall' because it doesn't really... stall. I appreciate the violent whip, laterals, yadda yadda yadda. In my opinion one of the best inversions in the world! But it's not a stall.
As for traditional stalls I think...
I do wonder what their hours will look like after this up into Ramadan. I've been to the UAE during Ramadan, but I imagine Saudi is a whole different ballgame. From my research I believe they run the metro later (up until 2am last year /3am on fridays)... top tip y'all
I worry if this is the new norm. Apparently full trains make such a difference to the speed of the train over the big camelback that I do worry if I go back... I want my full train!
You still have to transfer at the visitor hub but it was a pretty immediate process. I can't say the same for using Uber.
Buses back from the theme park go STRAIGHT to the metro station unless you get the car park ones
I don't think it's that faffy. It's pretty well sign posted.
I was collected from the waiting room! Was very quiet in there, no idea if it gets busier later on...
The bus doesn't stop directly outside, but the waiting room is staffed, so I'm sure they'll be able to tell you.
I don't think the metro situation is too bad when Ubers from within the city are fairly cheapish. Still though, kinda sucks...
I don't understand how a fully driverless metro isn't 24 hours. Same in Dubai. It's a city that comes alive at night. The amount of nightlife there, the streets are...
