List of rides that don't allow glasses even with a strap

June 2026, a possible update for this list - no problems at Efteling last week. But I did have my strap on loose-ish at the back.
Walibi Holland - Untamed. My first two rides with strap tight, no-one questioned.
My third ride later in the day, the ride op pointed at my specs and I pointed to my strap and that was OK. So I presume this one has to be on the list if you have no securing method. Or is it simply down to ride colleagues?
 
@soleil - good observation. I considered making a list for rides where a strap is mandatory, but decided against it. I have had a few instances where my strap was checked, but I am okay with this.

I will keep the list to be only rides where you cannot ride with a strap. If anything, I think it's reasonable to ask for them to be removed if you have no strap, but I think it's completely stupid for your extra steps to keep them secure to be left in vain.

Efteling are super chill, you can record on everything with Meta glasses too. The only ride where i even asked about glasses was Baron 1898 for obvious reasons.
 
Bobbejaanland backed down from their glasses policies.
Drayton Manor has banned glasses.

An amendment was made to the original post to also include parks that DO allow glasses on ALL rides with a strap. So we know for future.
 
For the list of parks that do allow glasses with straps:

  • Universal Studios Japan. Allowed on all rides. On Flying Dinosaur they made me confirm I accepted responsibility if I lost them, but they were fine with it.
  • Nagashima Spaland. Suprisingly relaxed. Totally fine with it on all coasters.
  • Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Both allowed them.
  • Hong Kong Disneyland. Allowed.

Not sure about Fuji Q Highland as most major coasters were closed the day I went.

Hair Raiser at Ocean Park in Hong Kong does not allow glasses with straps.
 
Just got back from a few days at PortAventura so can provide a small update.

I was allowed to wear my glasses with a strap on all coasters (except row 1 of Red Force, as previously mentioned). I rode Shambhala multiple times with no issues at all.

I was not allowed to wear them on Hurakan Condor (the Intamin drop tower). I rode it twice and was asked to remove them both times, despite showing they were secure.

Thanks for the input. I'm not sure what to put for Hurakan Condor or Shambhala due to conflicting situations (which I've now clarified in the original post). So I'll leave their small notes in.

We went on 4th July to Bobbejaanland and were told by ride staff even with a strap we cannot wear them on both Fury and Typhoon. They were fine on other rides there.
 
Looking for people's experience with Parque Warner Madrid and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid. Parque Warner said that it is "not recommended" to wear glasses on their attractions, but did not give a straight answer on whether or not they were allowed. Some advice is appreciated.

Parque Warner allowed my glasses with strap on all the rides last summer (not sure about Stunt Fall as it was closed).
