Super Splash at Hansa Park closing at the end of 2026 | Making way for ”something new”

Directly from the park’s website. SuperSplash is the old Intamin shoot-the-chutes that has operated at the park for close to forty years. It wasn’t always the most reliable attraction but it was popular in the summer months. It takes up a decently-sized plot of land so curious what’ll replace it.

This is exciting and makes complete sense, Hansa already has separate large log flume, a family log flume and a rapids ride, so binning this off, and freeing up a pretty large plot is a no brainer. The plot is quite long and thin so anything going in will need to be custom.

Yeah Hansa already has plenty of water rides, and at this point SuperSplash is out of place in the park. I hadn't noticed it at all on my first visit but the second time I went to it's own little corner of the park and was just mainly confused by it's presence in an otherwise well landscaped and themed park.

I didn't go on it but the really steep drop with an airtime pop in the middle looked really scary and unique.

Actually the ride is well liked by visitors. It is a unique ride that was constructed end of the 80s by Intamin and a German University that participated in a special project. While the ride doesn't blend into the park as good anymore, I think it is rather because the park already had to anticipate its closure in the near future. This year construction work was spotted at some supports, making people guess there might be problems with the foundations. But I don't think anything official is known so far. The park doesn't really rely on the area for development, I would guess, as there are some other empty areas. Beside of the log flume the park is now missing a decent water ride, so we might see a new one in the future. Or a hotel perhaps?

Knowing Hansa Park's working relationship and track record with Gerstlauer, I'm half inclined to say Airtime Coaster for that space

It certainly offers something fresh on the thrilling to a wide audience front
