Universal UK theme park in Bedford

Cautious, very cautious... But my god. PLEASE let this happen.

    Colossus Partial Retrack (Thorpe Park)

Would be lovely if whilst they’re at it they slapped in some nice new rock work and cleaned up the old theming a bit, would look so much better!

Efteling | Danse Macabre | Intamin Dynamic Motion Stage | 2024

I mean... It's a gothic building for a gothic theme, so it'll fit. I have full faith in the creative team at Efteling that this will look superb!

    Zootopia coming to Shanghai Disney

I know you can't judge from a video online, but it's hard to know what to make of it tbh? Somehow to me it seems both well themed and utterly soulless at the same time.

    Busch Gardens Tampa | Phoenix Rising | B&M Family Invert | 2024

I mean I'm not strictly saying they weren't... heavily inspired by Vekoma's model, but it's just an overbank, right? It's kinda the most extreme looking element you can plonk on one of these family inverts without inverting fully or having big drops etc.

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

I certainly wouldn't be upset with a 2ft extension, mine comes nowhere close 😞

New Expansions and Additions at Walt Disney World

Encanto and Indiana Jones in Animal Kingdom? What has either IP got to do with the preservation of nature and the planet? I mean, I won't happen anyway, but still...

    Flamingo Land | Sik | Intamin 10 Inversion Coaster | 2022

Visited Mingoland for the first time yesterday, the addition of Sik finally tempted me… SPITED. The coaster never opened, seems there’s something wrong with a wheel assembly on the back car, they’ve called for an engineer from “Slovakia” but assuming she meant and Intamin one from Switzerland...

    Phantasialand 2025 Additions

Not a new addition to the park but unsure where to mention it. I'm sure many have already seen, but Phantasialand is mid way through uploading soundtracks to Spotify and other services. Worth listening if you haven't already, they are truly fantastic.

Do you prefer a straight first drop or a twisted first drop on a roller coaster?

Coasters like Shambhala make me want to say straight, but Kondaa's first drop on the back row is so foul that I can't say for sure!

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

To my knowledge, no Mack coasters of this type have featured scoops/a real splashdown where contact is made with the water. I imagine it'll be a Hulk/Shambhala style splashdown if there is one, which would of course operate for a year before not working indefinitely.

    Alton Towers | Nemesis Reborn | B&M Retrack | 2024

Paint job is awful but I'm glad to see it coming together. I do fear that the repainted station will still look dated against the new track though, but I'll hold judgement on it for now.

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

It's Thorpe Park, I think we all expect things to be tacky. In fact I'd be more concerned if they pumped out something that wasn't!

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

So following your logic, if I were at a comedy show and I walked out half way through because I wasn't comfortable with the jokes being said, I should feel bad because I'm "privileged" to be able to afford the seats? Nope, sorry. Not how the world works. Sadly there's not really such thing as...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Everyone is perfectly within their right to leave/not visit parks because of their ethics and beliefs, to say otherwise is a bit... dumb? Whilst I wouldn't have personally walked out because of the sponsorship after already handing over the entry fee, each to their own. Also I think you're...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

I think 99.9% of guests at Europa Park would rather pay the (already expensive) entry fee and see sponsorships, most of which they probably will not even acknowledge anyway. I agree that sponsorships do cheapen the aesthetic a little, though. The Nordstream sponsorship wasn’t a great look at...

Universal's Epic Universe | Orlando USA | Theme Park

I'm no expert but I imagine a coaster that looks quite daunting but Is actually suitable for a large audience would be perfect for a Universal park? The parks are built for families but with more thrills than a Disney park, so a big Mack launch coaster sounds like a hit tbh. Big, fast, but...

Universal's Epic Universe | Orlando USA | Theme Park

Yet Ride to Happiness proves Mack are capable after all!

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

I'll definitely swallow my pride and visit Thorpe to ride this, but I do fear that it won't be good enough to warrant many returns visits. They need a big new coaster but the rest of the park just needs a complete overhaul to make it a pleasant destination in my opinion.

    Alton Towers | Nemesis Reborn | B&M Retrack | 2024

Agreed. I think those above who are saying otherwise might have forgotten that you enter it banked to the left already, and banked to the right upon exit, making it appear more drawn out.
