1. Galaxy Orbiter, Galaxyland - An impressively long layout that winds its way through all of Galaxyland, with a sharp and steep first drop, some fast spinning (namely in the hairpin turns right after the first drop, as well as the final figure 8 inside Mindbender) and surprising intensity.

Woo-oo! Been eagerly looking forward to this round since the competition started back in January. I have a few questions about the constraints though:
1. Minimum speed of 40mph only applies to the top speed of the layout, right? (That's what I had in mind when I suggested it, at least...)
2. Do...
At first, I thought including RMC Hybrids/Topper Tracks in the wooden coaster round would lead to more variety in the entries, but now I'm convinced against it - you raise a good point. If they weren't separate rounds, the RMC entries would probably best the more traditional GCIs and Gravity...
I really wanted to participate this round. I'd started on an Intamin swing-launch (a Maverick-style layout with unique inversions) - but I've been substantially busier than normal this past week, so sadly didn't have enough time to finish it.
Overall Top 5
1st) @HeartlineCoaster - I really...
I feel like a lot of other enthusiasts have been sleeping on this coaster - nearly all of these new-gen Intamin and MACK multi-launch coasters have been outstanding, world-class additions with loads of promise and uniqueness between them. Another Helix, Velocicoaster, Taiga or especially...
To be honest, Ice Breaker looks significantly better than my initial expectations! When the rumors started swirling, I was hoping for a Juvelen-style Intamin motorbike (though looking back, that would've been near impossible to fit in the footprint). Nowadays though, I'm glad about what actually...
Wow, I'm incredibly honored you guys thought that highly of my submission! Thank you so much - it's a huge motivator to continue learning and improving in NoLimits 2. Personally, I quite liked everybody's entries - they were definitely more original than mine - and going forward, I see plenty of...
Overall Top 5
1. @Hixee - Very smooth, drastic departure from a typical B&M hyper (in a good way though - I'd love to see B&M's future layouts head in this direction), and all-around excellent.
2. @HeartlineCoaster - Very realistic, smooth and especially love that non-inverting loop threading...
Finally finished my entry, and I'm genuinely very satisfied with it!
Name: Phoenix
Model: MACK Hyper
Platform: NoLimits 2
Mainly inspired by Lenny's crazy designs (specifically "QHA"/Hurricane and DC Rivals) as well as Kondaa, I wanted to go for an unconventional hyper layout to set Phoenix...
For this year (hopefully):
1. Steel Vengeance
2. Velocicoaster
3. Pantheon
4. Iron Gwazi
5. Phantom's Revenge
6. Arie Force One
7. Twisted Timbers
8. Top Thrill Dragster
9. Steel Curtain
10. Thunderbolt (Kennywood)
Hang on, I'm almost done! It's been really exciting to see everybody else's submissions as the contest winds to a close. Looking to throw my hyper into the entries hat very soon.
About the new voting system, I like the idea - my only concern is that we shouldn't be able to give ourselves 1st...
Tallest: Kingda Ka, Six Flags Great Adventure (456 feet)
Fastest: Kingda Ka, Six Flags Great Adventure (128 mph)
Longest: The Beast, Kings Island (7,359 feet)
Steepest: Fahrenheit, Hersheypark (97 degrees)
Most Inversions: Various B&M multi-loopers (7 inversions)
Oldest: Thunderhawk, Dorney Park...
At the moment, the one ride type I'd like to suggest is a Wooden Coaster. Some constraints could be a maximum height of 130ft, maximum inversion count of 3 and minimum speed of 40mph. This could lead to a wide variety of submissions, from classic PTCs to inverting Gravity Groups to wild Intamin...
