I hope the top hat is both 160+ and not trimmed. I want all the speed.
That said: do we know how long the trains will be? I’ve been assuming 5 cars but maybe they have the 3 car shorties, thus allowing for extra forces through the elements
New Testament stalls look far superior, and I bet they’ll ride better too in the long run. But what do we call stalls that don’t get to 180 degrees, like Outlaw’s or Untamed’s? Or even just real short ones? I still propose “Kick Stalls” for those type.
As well, that recently installed outer...
If it was just a liiiitttle faster it’d probably be great. I say they add 25 feet in height to the lift hill before it opens, test it that way, and call it good*
*only 80% kidding about this
Tbh Orion needs 3 minor changes to go from “fine” to amazing. Too late now, but:
1. Steeper drop. Get that thing fully vertical what are we doing here
2. The huge banked hill should be banked the OTHER way, a-la Pantheon
3. Why is the brake run like 75 miles long. Why. B&M had done this a lot...
How is that outerbank even real? Back in 2013 Outlaw Run’s wave turn blew my mind. Just blew me away. Now? This stuff is becoming a typical element on coasters. It’s sick and I love it
I agree that length is a big part of it here. Gwazi is much shorter, and while the big elements look very very cool, there aren’t as many. SV crams elements and hills in everywhere it can, this layout is more flowing.
Are we offically calling that drop the Drachen Drop? It’s the only thing that could increase my excitement level any further. It looks so cool. It’s the coolest (non-RMC) element on any new ride I can think of, since, honestly, the B&M wingover drop
The complexity of this ride is something else. Multiple launches, dual drop tracks, a fast-switch swing launch (which I was unaware was a fast-switch until seeing the PoV, thought it was more conventional) like a dozen trains, and a conveyor station. Crazy.
One worries about potential downtime...
I would love to see the logistics on how this would work. 14 trains is obscene. Anyone have any details about station layout? I would assume a split/dual station, and they’ll stack and offload trains in a separate part of the ride
Amending this: Leviathan’s layout mostly does the right things too.
This is most likely true re: cost. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it. Plus, they can always make lower, sharp ejector hills and/or long, low floats if the support cost is an issue. The hills don’t have to be tall...
