Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
^^Calm down... Can't speak for anyone else, but I think it's all been quite civilized so far (for a forum...)
^^^They do mean something - MF, when compared to Magnum, was a much bigger leap forward. This is a more of an evolution...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
What are you smoking? I invented those numbers? It's perfectly reasonable to compare them on factors other than layout. And I'm not the one who brought the comparison up.
Seeing as none of us have ridden a B&M Giga, none of us know...
Blimey.
If anyone was in any doubt if this was a new credit or not...
You'd never guess it was the same coaster, I wasn't very familiar with the old version and didn't realise just how much they changed it.
^To be fair, that's one of their oldest ones, and more importantly, has different trains (are they PTCs?).
I haven't heard even one bad report about any of the GCIs with Millennium Flyers.
Maybe it's partly the setting, but I really like Kwasemi:
And maybe I'm just biased, but grey with pink rails sounds horrible, but I think it works very nicely:
^^^I was imagining it might be like Manta's and not a 'real' splash if it was on a corner, but I don't know if the technology that goes with Manta belongs to B&M or if SeaWorld has a patent on it of some sort.
Do any of the press releases etc. even mention some sort of water element? Then...
If this splashdown element is actually happening (I can't be bothered to trawl through 20 pages to see if it's confirmed or just a rumour) then it was suggested a couple of pages back that it could be on the corner between the bunny hop and second inversion... Or in other words, straight after...
Well done B&M, they must have been smoking something when they designed the layout. I'm glad to see them breaking away from their 'standard' flyer layout, I wonder if the Heide Park dive machine will go in a new direction? They seem to be having a burst of creativity this year, it's great.
Seems that people have been so quick to rush to their computerbox to e-scream "THAT LOOKS **** LIKE!" they might have overlooked a couple of things.
1. That "thrill engineer" (Brandon something? People don't seem to like him much...) was quoted in a newspaper article about this time last year...

The Human side looks OK, pretty standard family coaster really. But the Cylon side looks really cool! Especially the funky downwards inline twist...
