Blue Streak (CP) Vs Comet (HP)

I must have ridden blue streak on a bad day because I found it as rough as thunder hawk and comet quite smooth. Both are among the better of the PTC's I've rode. I still prefer blue streak. Blue Streak has great hills and a fun layout, where Comet doesn't have it as much.

SFMM To Convert Tatsu from Flying to Inverted Coaster

I am going to Magic Mountain in three weeks for the first time and it almost got me. I knew a regular pretzel loop with an inverted train would cause killer g's, so I was suspicious. When I saw "closed" I almost lost it. Good job without taking it over the top =D>

Batman: The Ride vs. Superman: Ultimate Flight

Batman Superman: Ultimate Flight is not a bad ride and is a cool idea, however the ride is boring after the pretzel loop. I think the issue is the best part of the ride happens first, where the rest just doesn't have it. Batman is intense and fast the whole ride. Superman is also quite short and...

    Trip Plans For 2014

Third week in April I'm going to Six Flags New England. One week later Six Flags Magic Mountain for three days. In July Six Flags Great Adventure sometime. Canobie Lake Park a few times. Wish I lived closer to some cedar fair parks, the closest is Dorney and that is 6 hours away. Guess I'll...

Rides Ridden Featured On Bert The Conqueror?

Canobie Fan I remember you from the show! You were the one with the "hello my name is canobie fan" shirt. I am a few towns over from there and I go all the time. Nice to know someone appreciates such a great park. That episode is what got me to watch the show.

Rides Ridden Featured On Bert The Conqueror?

Bert the Conqueror was a small two season show that aired on the travel channel a few years ago. Was not the best show in the world and had many issues to it but had some interesting rides featured on it. He rides some of the general ones and some odd ones in the United States. My list. Yankee...

Best Time To Visit Magic Mountain?

I am going here during the last week of April, like the 28 to the 30th or something like that. Does anyone think a flash pass is necessary? Is there an average wait time I can expect? One last question is does the 5 min early entry work with a gold pass that I got at Six Flags New England or...

What is your favorite merch item to get at a Theme Park?

My favorites are T-Shirts and Giant Park Maps. I have only found giant park maps of Cedar Point last year and one of Great Adventure, that one I don't even remember getting but I got it around El Toro's opening year. I get t shirts at any park I go to I have way too many.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit vs Rock 'n' Rollercoaster

Both of these coasters are in Orlando and both are great rides. Both want you to re ride to hear all the music. They both have a lot of unique features, but the only common thing they have is music. Features: Rock n Rollercoaster Launch theme inversions indoors Each of the five trains has a...

Good Parks that are Bad to Visit?

My vote goes to Great Adventure. It is kind of near nothing and not the most friendly area either. Cedar Point isn't far behind. Once you are off the peninsula doesn't seem the best.

    Kingda Ka Questions

Might be dumb questions but here they are. 1. I read somewhere that the drop tower on kingda ka is going to open until around memorial day. Is kingda ka still going to be open even if the drop tower isn't before memorial day? 2. Does anyone know how long the Kingda Ka launch is? (in feet) I...

    Top 5 most ridden coasters?

The three coasters at Canobie are at my top. Rode all I would say over 25 times. 1. Yankee Cannonball (25+) 2. Untamed (25+) 3. Canobie Corkscrew (25+) 4. Expedition Everest (16) 5. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (11) Bizarro, Gatekeeper, El Toro, Space Mountain, and a few others are up there. I...

    Boomerangs or SLCs

Rode quite a few boomerangs, one SLC (thankfully), and SLC's are way rougher. Boomerangs vary from ride to ride. Sidewinder was fun, but Flashback at New England was bad. Mind Eraser was very bad and the worst coaster I have ever ridden. Painful. Six Flags New England has some painful stuff. I'd...

Did you ever feel the "Magic"?

Every time. The attention to detail is amazing. Rides like Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain make you feel like you are in a whole new world. You might travel there ten times and not notice every detail. Disney is the best in the business when it comes to that. No park I have been to has yet...

    G-Force or Airtime?

I like airtime just because sometimes rides with high g force make you think more about blacking out than having a fun ride and can be uncomfortable (for me). I like airtime better.

    B&M vs. Intamin

Intamin. They make some of the best coasters in the country. (El Toro, Bizarro, Maverick, Skyrush, Storm Runner, Dragster, Wicked Twister) B&M has some great rides, but I prefer the intensity of intamin. B&M's tend to be less aggressive. B&M's can be more comfortable sometimes but can be as head...

    Magic Mountain vs. Great Adventure

I like Great Adventure. The only rides I would kill for is Tastu and X2, but both probably aren't as good as El Toro. Aside from having more coasters, MM really only has a better standup and flying coaster. El Toro is better than any wooden coaster and Nitro is a great ride too. Magic Mountain...

Better Wooden Roller Coaster: El Toro vs Boulder Dash

Re: Better Wooden Roller Coaster: El Toro vs Boulderdash Rode both and I think El Toro is better. Boulder dash is great, but the roughness sometimes takes away from the excitement. El Toro has the best airtime on any coaster I've ever ridden. The drop on El Toro is better also. Both are out of...

Better coaster: Bizarro (SFNE) or Millennium Force

Bizarro wins this easily. Millennium force has a great drop, but everything else is just boring after. For a ride that goes 93 mph it doesn't have lots of excitement. Bizarro goes underground twice and has some great airtime hills and is a more entertaining ride. After the drop Bizarro has 9...
