Oh ok thanks - I thought it was to test how much air resistance might slow it down by.
If anyone makes a nolimits recreation of this ride, I reckon they should call it Imitator 305 :P
Hehe, to all the immature park goers out there, (especially thorpe chavs) this coaster's name is going to provide a few sniggers if it was built!
Looks very nice though. Compact and full of airtime! Lovely.
^ Ok thanks - I'll go watch it :D
Dammit, I forgot to put skeleton on my things to do before I die (possibly things to do when I die?)... I wanna do that stuff so badly -looks so fun whizzing round picking up all those G's headfirst....
Although, I rather think the sport would be more...
If it's because the trains are light, then maybe when the coaster is loaded with riders, it'll crest the hill a little faster?
Although I've kinda decided that airtime's only really awesome if it's actually scary... otherwise it's just fun. This hill doesn't look big enough to be scary, so at...
Just because they can launch up to 700mph, doesn't mean they will - I don't doubt that if people wanted to, they could build rollercoasters as tall, or taller, than the tallest skyscrapers in the world, but they don't, because 300ft is plenty to give the sensation of being out of control without...
My friend was 'screaming' (using caps) over MSN last night about how some poor skiier had rolled over the finish line but been disqualified because she wasn't upright. I'm bored, so could anyone tell me who this skiier was so I can watch the video and laugh and then feel slightly ashamed that...
^ I never really got the airtime on irn-bru. I sat at the front to try and get as much ejector as possible on the backwards bit, but I don't remember getting any air.
What I do remember though, is that the loop was fantastic in backwards motion, and I also remember lots of coasterforce people...
The slide one's my favourite.
Everyone noticed the undersupporting (including me) but does anyone think that some of the elements are actually a little too stretched out? It's a minor detail but it looks pretty forceless in places.
Also, I'm guessing that either the tower block at the...
I don't really see the difference. They still look like the uncomfortable shoulder straps on rita.
Going back to that huge segway I had with UC, I guess the two things that would resolve it would be if they made their corners smoother - On stealth I find those restraints fine, but on rita...
You have NO IDEA how much time in my physics lessons is devoted to daydreaming about this precise topic!
I haven't really got a 'park' I'd make, I got a few ideas for rides though -
Cliffhanger - Literally, a cliff hanger, this stupidly tall drop tower would have its main winch at the top...
You kind of have to 'notice' the air on Rita, as in, take in the brief split second of time that your butt doesn't press against your seat as heavily (although your top of your legs stay pinned to the lapbar) and then go back to wrenching the OTSR straps away from your neck.
