Probably. That was kind of my point, albeit poorly worded. Not everyone likes inversions, so often times hypers don't invert, so everyone can enjoy the biggest, fastest ride in the park. Funnily enough, to the human psyche, over banked turns don't really count haha.
Looking at the images closer, the trains do have lateral bracing as part of the seat material. But the metal bars are right above, and only a few inches more to the side. Also, what's the point? To mount the seats? Can't they just do that like every other company? lol. Just seems horrible...
I don't know man, six flags is pretty well known for delivering new ride concepts. If it weren't for them, B&M wouldn't be making coasters and RMC might have had their first conversion elsewhere.
Building prototypes saves money and allows something unique.
I'm sure you remember, Walter and...
This looks amazing! And about that wonky section, maybe it's trick track? I'm guessing, yeah, it's for the dark ride section, but trick track on a spinner would probably be amazing, if done properly! lol :D
Also, yay to the spinning airtime hill!
Yeah, that definitely seems like it would eat up costs.
I'd like to know the cost of Goliath, as that's the only topper track build on relatively normal ground.

I kinda wish we'd get a giga that goes straight into an airtime hill after the drop, but I guess that would kinda nullify Diamondback. Also, it might make the first drop seem less intense. Than there's the issue of the drop being too long of a sustained airtime experience to deliver that long...
I think that was the big draw of the Raptor Track, since it's much smaller than the TRex.
