India PTR - Part 6: Kolkata

Hell no at that ferris wheel! As always, a very cultural and interesting PTR. I went to Delhi many years ago and can't really think of anything positive to say about the place, Fortunately other places in India make up how bad the capital is.

Great to hear your opinions on Finland now we have both been! Thanks for sharing and some great shots of Taiga there. Sounds like we share some similar opinions on most the coasters really. Look forward to reading the next part.

    Six Flags 2020 Announcements

Interesting that Magic Mountain didn't get a mention. I wonder if West Coast Racers will get advertised as new for 2020 depending on when it finally opens!

Eye of the Taiga – Finland July 2019

Thank you! Finland is a beautiful country. There is also PowerPark in the north of the country, it was too far for me to get on this trip. I can only hope I have inspired people to visit, I'm a big fan of the Nordic countries. They have excellent transport links, mostly everyone speaks English...

    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

Good question! I didn't enjoy Silver Star at all, had hardly any airtime on it and was very disappointed by it. Balder was fun but again didn't blow me away. I think Swarm and Saw are so high partly due to nostalgia and always having had such fun riding those with friends. I might need to think...

    Milestones in Your Counts

    1. Runaway Train, Paultons Park (RIP) 50. Wodan, Europa Park 100. Balder, Liseberg Being woodies was completely unintentional, it actually turned out I had missed a credit on my list and it changed from a kiddie credit to Balder being my #100!

Eye of the Taiga – Finland July 2019

18th July: Sarkanniemi On the fourth day of my visit I ventured to the next theme park: Sarkanniemi. The park is easily doable as a day trip from Helsinki, the train takes just under 2 hours and can be easily booked online. The train journey itself was beautiful passing many lakes and little...

Eye of the Taiga – Finland July 2019

Moi! For those who don’t know me I’m James, I’ve been a member here a long time and trying to get into posting a bit more. I am currently based near Portsmouth, funnily enough the place where my love of roller coasters and all things related began. My dad often recalls the infamous tale of me...

    New rides @ small parks

Discovered a new cred at South Parade Pier, Portsmouth today. It seems to be SBNO for now but I assume it will be open for the school holidays.

    Solo Sweden (May 2019)

Great read, thanks for sharing! Gutted about Helix, I would be feeling the same way too. Shame that Valkyria was a disappointment too. I went to Liseberg two years ago, it's such a beautiful park.

    New rides @ small parks

Clarence Pier have replaced their aged Skyways with a new 'Mad Mouse' roller coaster. It's pretty similar to the previous coaster. I guess it was replaced due to maintenance costs. https://rcdb.com/16767.htm I had a look at it yesterday and they were testing it so assume it to be open at the...

    Efteling and Amsterdam

It really is a great ride, the theming and ambience of the rooms are amazing. I must admit the final scene threw me at first, I wasn't expecting the cars to go down the spiral so fast! Yeah they've done a great job on Ravelijn. Bob was just very rough and shaky, I found the same with the one...

    Efteling and Amsterdam

Hallo! So last week I took a solo trip to Amsterdam, a place I've wanted to go for a long time, one of the reasons being to visit Efteling. I will mainly focus on Efteling here and throw in some pretty photos of Amsterdam in the end for your enjoyment! Efteling Efteling was reasonably easy to...
