If you're only looking to do a quick cred run (and let's face it, neither park really deserves anything else) they're easily doable on the same day.
Avoid Lightwater Valley on school trip days though - they warn you on their website about this. Me and the missus made that mistake and despite...
Most of the coasters I've ridden are in the States and have mainly involved epic road trips (the longest was 7,400 miles in 15 days). I bloody love a good American road trip, me.
I'm a bit of a basic bitch when it comes to elsewhere though.

Yup. Fond memories of hitting Stealth at park opening on a quiet day. They were allowing us to walk back through directly to the loading bay without having to go around. Managed 17 rides in 75 minutes, 14 of them in the front row.
I don't mind the Nash. Always have a couple of laps when in Blackpool, most recently last August. Sure, it bounces around all over the place but I don't find it too rough at all.
Saw and Speed both give me headaches, as do many other Eurofighters.
The absolute worst for me is easily The...
I don't need to. Because you haven't provided a single example of a country where contributions towards medical costs "can be as much as 50% to 100%".
Fair enough. I trust you won't mind if I further correct some of your inaccuracies though. After all, you did claim that medical costs were "as much as 50% to 100% in some countries".
Yup. I did point out that France is the outlier.
Up to a maximum of €10.
10% for therapeutic treatment only...
That's simply not true. Medical treatment is either completely free or available for a nominal charge in the majority of EU countries (the Czech Republic charges a massive £2.91 for emergency treatment, for example). The only outlier is France, where you pay 30% of medical fees and 20% of...
So you might have to pay a small contribution towards the medical costs? Fine, I'd take that risk.
What I emphatically wouldn't do is travel anywhere outside the EU, obviously.
I think you missed my point. Nobody can travel abroad with insurance whilst the FCO is advising against "all but essential travel". What I'm saying is that (for me, at least), the main reason for travel insurance is cover for medical emergencies. You don't need that (for now, at least!) if...
Would the lack of insurance not be a massive issue if you're travelling within the EU though? You'd get free medical treatment in the case of an emergency.
Ooh, nice resource! Well played.
Point taken about the much larger catchment area around York (and I just found out that Yorkshire has a larger population than the whole of Scotland).
But using that handy tool throws up some catchment areas with large parks that are vaguely similar to M&D's...
I get what you're saying, but that "circle drawn with the centrepoint between Glasgow and Edinburgh" doesn't have to be particularly large to encompass a sizeable amount of the population, and it wouldn't have to extend to the border. There's 4.28 million in the larger central belt area alone...
It's available in Sainsburys and Waitrose (where I bought some for the first time a couple of weeks ago).
As others have said, it's very nice chocolate, but expensive. About twice the price of Cadbury's.
