So now they only have Herschend and Sea World to offer any kind of competition to motivate investment? ...Great
Cedar Fair have had a great investment model which would work amazingly for the six flags parks. But I can't see this working out well when they have effectively a monopoly on most...
We went to Walibi for the evening on the 21st of October, which we didn't know would be on a bank holiday weekend during a massive festival, meaning the park would be at effectively 100% capacity. Also, a torrential rainstorm with 25 mph winds was expected in the area, so we'd be cycling in this...
My most recent park trip last week was to Walibi Holland and, this being the Netherlands, the only convenient way was to cycle! So we rented self-locking bikes from our hotel, breezed through the 50 minute ride through the countryside on perfectly smooth cycle lanes, stopping every now and then...
It could definitely use more foliage but that looks very fun for a kiddie ride & a perfect small investment.
I'd love to see Alton or even Thorpe get this to bolster their kiddie offerings (with much more foliage, obviously).
We went for a week-long package holiday to stay in the Hotel El Paso which granted us unlimited access to Portaventura Park and one day at Ferrari Land. I haven't been to a new park in around 8 years and we jumped on an incredibly good package deal after a very stressful few years sorting our...
Would it be for budgetary reasons why this has been stalled to the point of no return? Ie: kumbak/taziker ran out of money to fix their errors, and kbf don't have the spare budget to do the whole renovation again + fix the new mistakes. Or would they be contractually tied to a dead weight in...
We went to ferrari land last night sooo:
Red Force
My god, this is such an amazing experience! I got 3 rides on this throughout the evening in row 3, 5 and 6 (sadly I couldn't get a front row ride despite trying) thanks to relatively short queues (which were very pleasant thanks to the shading...
Vekoma Boomerangs as well. The only park I've been to that had one was Hersheypark, but the queues meant we had choose between riding that or Stormrunner.
Millennium force - In the front row, you get the growing dread as the track gets endlessly steeper. In the back, you get launched out of your seat!
Shiekra - I found it genuinely scary to hang over the edge at that height, and the airtime is magnificent.
Why would they need to develop a slide track if the cars could just go down a dip while turned to the side?
I think it looks very impressive though. I'd love to work for the team that develops these rides as it must be such a great challenge to organise everything.
Best: Mack lap bars
Worst: Maurer Lap Bars. One time, G-Force's lap bar lowered after the loop on my diaphragm and I was struggling to breathe for an uncomfortably long time. I've had a grudge ever since.
