Those trains are still ugly as all hell, but I'm hugely in favour of this change - never liked the stand-up trains and I think stand-up coasters as a whole moreorless died a death due to not working/not being very good.
This is hopefully not that rare.
We're seeing a resurgence of shuttle coasters and I don't like it. It ****s the throughput and involves going backwards.
Those are strange places to put them - I'd say it makes sense on anything with four-across seating - though I seem to remember reading somewhere once that people are most likely to visit parks in groups of 3...
For purely selfish reasons, I'd love to see one brought back to Nemesis, because the...
Only just woken up, so not given this much thought, but Odyssey is really not that bad.
Just nobody say the Aussie one with new restraints (which I think may have been scrapped) - because it was still ****ing terrible!!
I love that there's someone on there complaining that Wetherspoons expects you to pay for food at time of ordering 'even though it's table service'
Some people just don't belong in Blackpool 🤣 🤣
The e-ticket thing is a pain, to be fair - I don't know why they brought it in, and I really don't...
Oh, bloody hell...
Assuming this is strictly enforced(?) this is FLY levels of PitA...
(And if they think I'm taking my glasses off before joining the queue, they can **** right off.)
It's the area in front of what used to be Ripsaw/Funk 'n' Fly - the closed path is annoying but far from unbearable and doesn't affect the vista of Nemesis much at all - in fact the only places it's really a problem to are the coffee shop and the Nemesis shop.
I too am surprised it's started...
I usually get an Alton pass, as I live less than half an hour from the place and it's nice to be able to head up when I'm at a loose end.
Obviously this year I knew I'd be at both Thorpe and Lego at least once, so I got the gold option. Will I renew it next year? No idea.
Rattlesnake only gets long queues due to woeful throughput.
I'm kind of surprised - and would argue that Zoofari in particular should be a winner with younger visitors. It's obviously penny pinching, but not something disastrous that would have me reconsidering an off-peak trip (though...
Good to see it's speeding up a bit - the first video made the hangtime look a little excessive.
We'd be daft to think we're looking at anything world beating - but this is nevertheless a very positive direction for Thorpe. It'll be one of the country's best, but as frequently bemoaned, that's...
Between this and the Wave, it's quite an interesting time over at Drayton - I'm sure there's method to it, but I'm a little surprised that we're being fed off scraps whereas there seems to be a camera on site each time a new queue line bin is installed over at Hyperia.
I don't like to say anything against this project because I've been so happy with it overall - but I do agree that I miss the old soundtrack.
Potentially off topic, but there seems to be a trend of iconic soundtracks vanishing and not just from Merlin parks (Valhalla) - and one of the rumours...
Testing video appeared on Instagram this week.
I doubt this is going to be open in time for me (late Spring is quite vague and with their ride line up, I confess I'm not overly excited by ANOTHER one of these) but sharing nontheless :)

Nothing wrong with Silver Star, it just doesn't have the 'oh, my ****ing God, WOW' factor that usually comes with that ride type.
It's better than Goliath at La Ronde, for instance.
