    Your A-Z favourite coasters

So, originally I wanted to boast the most strange and rare coasters I could find. But this is not about the rarest, or weirdest, or strangest, or furthest coasters, but the best. I might have overlooked a couple coasters, as the overall list is getting quite long at this point, but I think all...

    Loudest coaster lift hill?

RMCs are very noisy. BTM at Disneyland Paris. Not only is this one loud, but it is also fully enclosed within a mountain, so it feels even louder. It wasn't uncommon to see people covering their ears when I visited. Other Vekoma Minetrains with chainlifts are also quite noisy.

    Hong Kong Disneyland expansion 2018-2023

To be honest, the theoretical capacity might actually turn out to be decent. The time between block clearance (last car of the lift/last car of the final brakerun) is about 30 seconds, which can result in close to 120 dispatches per hour. 120*16 = 1,920pph, which is actuall insane for such a...

    Energylandia's Future Additions

Might be a tight fit, but I think they should be able to build one additional flatride after they're done with the tiltcoaster.

    WTF Merlin?

Phantasialand does this Taron or FLY, although not as intense as Disney. But they do post exaggerated queue times close to park closure, which can easily be twice the real wait.

    Energylandia's Future Additions

I’ve been waiting for their hotel since 2018. As far as I know the Tilt coaster is the last major expansion which is in parts payed by EU money. However, as the EU loves to waste money, I wouldn’t complain if they were to waste more money at Energylandia 😂

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

Zadra never slows down, and if you have a closer look at the shaping of its hills, Hyperion is also quite fast even on their crests. Hyperia has 2 drawn out inversions + the outwarded banked inversion thingy which each extend the ride time by a decent amount. I feel like Mack has tried their...

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

Judging from the videos, it takes about 45 seconds to clear the distance between lifthill and the potential holding brake. Giving it an extra 15 seconds to clear the brake again, it could hit 1,200 pph (60x20), maybe even higher.

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

B&M has patended the scoops on their trains, so Mack would have had to come up (did I get the grammar right?) with a different solution to brake the train while also creating some sort of splash. However, the splash on B&Ms is significant, I don't know if such a big splash would even be viable...

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

I might have overlooked if it was already posted, but the Trimms in the Splashdown are now finally confirmed: Source: Yes, if you were trying to recreate the layout you knew this from the beginning, but the trimms were not a part of the original rendering. Also not a fan of the name.

    Energylandia's Future Additions

I don’t know if this was already considered public knowledge, but apparently the park now plans to add 2 hotels, instead of just one. I also recall that the Venetian hotel was planned to be near Aqualantis/Sweet valley, but it’s now planned to be next to the indoor water park. Image source...

    Your worst spite

As a kid, my uncle took me to a theme park once a year. As we lived quite close, and this was one of my first theme parks, I was in love with Warner Bros. Movie World (nowadays Movie park). As kids are, this park was the greatest, grandest and best theme park there is and will ever be. AND they...

    Rookburgh (including F.L.Y) @ Phantasialand

I am not sure if I should post this already... but honestly, after moving in with both of our s/os, we finally found the time and motivation again to keep on going. But every bit of additional motivation is welcome. We already broke the 400,000 parts barrier (Klugheim had ~220,000) and it's just...

Highest ride count you've ever attained during a theme park day?

Never really counted... my highscore on a single day were 78 rides on Taiga (and just Taiga) within 8 hours, Taron was 38 rides during a day. I don't know how many other attractions I did at Phantasialand that day, though. But it was plenty, I spend just a fraction of my day at Taron. So 38 + X...

Dollywood announce Lightning Rod's launch to be replaced with chain lift

The launch ended before it reached the top, so the train never hit the crest with 45mph. Upon the first change, they made the launch end earlier, still reaching the same top speed but due to a longer distance rolling free it crawled over the Dollies.

Dollywood announce Lightning Rod's launch to be replaced with chain lift

Did anyone realise that they also announced new trains as well? Really a shame to see the launch go, I am finally doing my US trip in 2024 and will have to skip TTD (also not TT2) and Lightning Rod as well. Albeit that LRs launch was neutered a long time ago and the lift will „nearly“ be the...

    Rank your Ridden B&M Inverts

I don’t blame you for saying that, I just wanted to figure out if you just rode it one day or on multiple occasions. As the latter one is the case, I might not agree with you, but a)it’s down to personal preferences and b) You are likely to have had more rides on it then I did. I just saw my...

2023 Golden Ticket Award winners announced

Really fun to the that Europapark is supposed to be in the top 5 for food, but Phantasialand, although being vastly superior is not. Well, the whole award just causes headscratching 90% of the time, so this is to be expected.

    Rank your Ridden B&M Inverts

That was pretty much my experience upon riding it in 2019; however, my 2022 ride was significantly better, and now I consider it one of the best B&Ms I’ve done. I think Nemesis is prone to having some bad days, and on those it is a decent ride, but nothing more. When did you ride it?
