If I can also offer a hot take: the B&M rattle has always, kind-of, been around. Even to the first progeny of their late 90s coasters, if you sit in just the right seat, with the restraint just so - you would still get the occasional rattle.
But the B&M rattle feels to now reached meme status...
2024 has emerged as a landmark year for the amusement park industry. Two major rivals, Cedar Fair and Six Flags, have finally merged to form a monolithic conglomerate. World record roller coasters are encountering various fates: some are inching closer to fruition, like Falcon's Flight; others...
Definitely sad to see the original flying machine go. To @Dan Nguyen's comment, Huss Enterprises are also rapidly endangered, and a bummer to see that on the chopping block too.
bingo - it will be interesting to see Six Flags evolution as now competing with other leisure/tourism activities rather than neighboring park competitors. A fan of steps that bring new, improved attractions to market - bummer if it will remain at the cost of attractions that are still...
Boy howdy - that cliff drop never gets old to look at! Definitely goes right up there with some of those first views we had of TTD, in similar staggering, Intamin drops. <3
It was watching roller coasters at first, as I grew up always loving trains and watching them navigate a circuit. Roller coasters are just trains with a few more loops. :P
Let's not forget though that "Six Flags" is truly Cedar Fair executives within a Six Flags shell. ;)
If there's a park that would open a very late, flipped coaster relatively on time, it's Cedar Point. Only time will tell, especially for any additional modification needed for altering Perimeter...
Welp, I've ridden some more coasters since my post ~5 years ago, including a new favorite Intamin Launched! New coasters in bold.

I know the axe was always hanging for the Muppetvision 3D ride, especially for how large that plot is; but the moment doesn't feel any better. My most favorite attraction as a kid (that and Star Tours, right next door!), and sad to see it go. Grateful I was able to still get a recent go on it!
Doing a quick look at the numbers, Rapterra will reach 65 MPH, one of the fastest B&M wing coasters at that. It's launch however is 0-65 in 4 seconds, while Thunderbird's (60 MPH) reaches speed in 3.5 seconds. Rapterra by all accounts will take it's launch at a rolling start, while Thunderbird...
