I'm leaning more towards the municipality demanding a less visually striking colour scheme that blended better into the sky. The coaster is quite close to a residential area, after all. Speed Monster was also conceived as yellow at some point, but changed to blue quite late in development.

I've been wondering a lot about that myself. All those coasters built in the early 2000s - in particular, the boom between 1998 and 2006 - are starting to show their age, and some come with pretty big maintenance obligations these days. Just their upkeep - retaining the lineup they currently...

The whole resort is in such a strange position. The Studios park was so bare-bones upon opening that it basically has taken two decades of gradual investments to turn it into a full-fledged park, and in the meantime, the main park still hasn't received any new attractions since *checks* ... Let's put the question differently: with only one train, the ride would be out of operation whenever the train needs maintenance. If so, why bother with a separate maintenance depot? Might as well just use the ride station.
