Vekoma is fairly easy. They littlerally name their track models after the track guage.
The track used on new Vekoma rides (Abyssus, FLY etc) is MK1100 track and is 1100mm in width. This is the distance from the center of one rail to the other.
The older MK1200 rides (like corkscrew at Alton...
There's a new (for me) coaster there this year with Time Machine so will probably pop down.
But I'm pretty lucky that I can go during the day on most weekdays so I can pop down about 11am, not only do you get in for free but it's normally pretty dead. So can get in ride whatever I want with no...
I have no idea how they have got around it? Especially as Intamin rides are manafactured in Slovakia. But it seems they have.
Footers are already in for the Intamin Hot Racer - Mahuka cloone
the unknown family coaster footers are also in
Dont recognise the layout on first glance.
Footers...
Spotted these on a Chinese chat group I'm in so not sure of original source (if anyone knows then please let me know and I'll add it)
This is a lovely model of the new Gerstlaurer inverted coaster for Parque Del Cafe in Colombia
And here's a shot of the ride under construction in site
If someone asked I'm sure they'd build one. They did sell one a few years ago to a park in China but the park went belly up before the ride went vertical. They only got as far as putting some footers down.
They'll have been pitching this model to parks behind the scenes for a while I imagine. That's usually how it works.
So I'd say it's certainly possible this is heading to Paultons. But who knows.
I suspect something happened recently to force the issue. It was floating around some in the industry that the ride was due to run next year and close at the end of next season.
My theory is a recent inspection turned up something that would require a big fix next season (replacement cable...
Unfortunately. Looking at that list of new rides they've mentioned for 2026 they pretty much exactly line up with the surveys sent out not that long ago.
I'm stealing the annotated image at the bottom of this post from CP6 over on discord because I can't be bothered to make my own but they line...
Ron Toomer the father of the corkscrew, head of Arrow Dynamics and designer of many things we take for granted in modern day coasters.
He hated riding coasters and didn't like riding the rides he actually designed.
You're fine my man. And anyone who takes the piss out of your credit count is a...
It was at this point 8 years ago that Trump lost all credibility as a human being. Yet here we are again.
The majority of America apparently thinks this kind of attitude to women is OK.
As a non American I'm not sure on the history of Myrtle Beach (although bizarrely I have been there to ride swamp fox)
But it seems parks open and close there with alarming regularity.
Anyone have insight onto why these places keep opening (I assume expecting to make profit) but seemingly...
Not sure how they're planning at getting around the sanctions. No way Intamin are allowed to sell a ride to a park in Moscow right now.
That's definitely this ride
Man it sucks you had such a rubbish day.
I've visited the park twice once by myself and once with friends and been very lucky it seems with all major rides open both times. It ranks pretty highly for me in terms of Chinese parks.
The operational faff seems about standard though. Rides opening...
They also have a Gerst coaster sat on site. It would appear to be the one from the batch of rides that were originally meant for Circus World in Vietnam but were then sold off 2nd hand. (Others include Georgia Surfer at SFoG and Flash at SFGAdv)
When that arrived everyone assumed this new ride...
