Toboggan Nordique Third time is a charm, I guess. First time I went for my 15th birthday, it had an hour long wait which I didn't have time for. Last time we went, it kept breaking down and we didn't get on it. So finally I got the +1. And that's all it really is, is a +1, but these models are...

    The Book Thread

I want to bump this topic because I've recently gotten back into reading since I have way too much time on my hands, and I want to see if anyone has any recommendations! Lately, I've read: In the Heart of the Sea- I had a friend tell me about this and it sounded intriguing. For people who...

Marineland of Canada (may) be closing/sold

An amusement park only would be a good thing for that place. People who vacation to Niagara Falls are not likely to drive the hour and a bit to Vaughan for Wonderland, cross the border to drive upwards of an hour to Darien Lake, and Martin's Fantasy Island isn't exactly a prime destination. Even...

    Shanghai Disneyland

Oh, right. I didn't even think of the whole social media angle, in which case I do think that's a bit sad but it's not my time being wasted, so whatever. However, I'd be annoyed if my kid wanted to see the character and there were a bunch of Instagrammers causing the queue to be that long 😂

    SeaWorld Orlando | Penguin Trek | B&M Family Launch Coaster | 2024

I'd be annoyed with an addition like this pre-child, but I am so happy to see parks making coasters that are more thrilling for little kids, with a smaller height requirement. It's certainly helping get my son hyped up in his coaster enthusiasm, and it eliminates that big lull period between 42"...

Who the heck is LinaBell anyway!? I know it's never the parents who would want to wait that long to see a hoe in a costume, but parents need to learn to tell little white lies to their kids to avoid doing things like that 😂. LinaBell got sick. LinaBell had to leave early. LinaBell had a family...

Rank the Central Florida theme parks

I don't remember SeaWorld enough to put it in my rankings because it has been two and a half decades since I last went (will probably go during my 2025 Florida trip), but other than that I'd rank them: 1. Islands of Adventure- So much to do, and every attraction is amazing besides that weird...

Coasters that gave you the biggest sense of "danger"

Definitely Wild Mouse at Blackpool! I remember slipping so far down in the seat that whatever restraint it was, was up near my neck. It was hilarious, and it's not like I felt like I was going to die or anything but I certainly didn't feel as secure as I usually do on coasters.

Man In Critical Condition After King’s Island Accident

He did pass away according to news and his family on Facebook. It's a shame that one stupid decision can cost a life but geez, Darwin Awards...

Bobcat All three of us loved this ride! It's such a perfect addition to the park, although it's a shame they had to tear down what I think was their best credit prior to Bobcat to build it. It's incredibly smooth and fast-paced with great pops of airtime throughout, and it's super rerideable. We...

    Cedar Fair Parks Ranked

    1. Cedar Point- Love the location, the line up is really good (I'm not a huge B&M fan, so those ones to me are a bit 'take it or leave it', but I still love Top Thrill, Maverick, Steel Vengeance, and Millennium Force, and to have four great coasters in one park is awesome), and I like that it...

    Why queue for hours?

I love socializing with other enthusiasts, for sure! That part isn't dead for me, but doing it on an opening day isn't appealing to me. I've lately found myself stressed even on the average to busier days at amusement park sans opening day festivities, so I'm not sure I'd thrive there, haha. I'd...

Six Flags Great Escape | The Bobcat | Gravity Group Wooden Family Coaster | 2024

Meant to open June 1st, apparently! Looking forward to it.

    Why queue for hours?

Bit o' sass there, yes I do realize that, but there aren't many goons in my area and the amount of goons I talk to on a regular basis anymore is very small. There are some I'd be incredibly happy and excited to see, but not only is North America huge, making logistics of attending an opening day...

    [OpenRCT2] Mythicae Mundos

This makes me miss RCT1 and RCT2 so badly! I wish I was able to play them on my current laptop, but sadly it's a piece of crap. Your parks look fantastic, with lots of great details! Puts the new RCT Adventures to absolute shame. Atlantis is my favourite of the three worlds you've done so far.

    Why queue for hours?

I absolutely see no appeal in going to a coaster's opening day; in fact, I don't even think the concept appealed to me back when I was a newer enthusiast either. Yeah, I guess it's fun having bragging rights and having something exclusive for a brief period of time, but the older I get the more...

Marche du Mille-Pattes... Not much to say other than I felt like I was getting an exclusive cred because a few enthusiasts came into the line and got rejected for not having a kid. Had they not rushed off, I'd have offered up my child for the good cause because we all know that struggle. :p...

Anyone feel stuck living in a area with only relatively few theme parks?

Where I live now is lacking compared to where I lived before. In a 4 hour radius to my old place I had Cedar Point, Canada's Wonderland, Michigan's Adventure, and King's Island. Now I'm in Montreal and the best we have is La Ronde and Great Escape within a 4 hour radius, and then some other...

    Battle of the best inverts

I don't really love the invert style of coaster, but both are held in high regard for me. Nemesis stuck out to me as just a bit more unique to the others though, so I'd have to go with that, although Montu is absolutely a solid coaster and an invert I would re-ride if I go back to Busch (I tend...

Top Thrill 2 I've been a pouty and pretentious enthusiast about this ride only because Dragster was my namesake on here and I loved that ride. I had a big smile on my face pulling into the launch area again, but the ride was exactly what I expected. A fun ride, but certainly nowhere near the...
