    Best Vekoma SLC (A Stretch)

Probably Thunderhawk (Geauga Lake/Michigan's Adventure) and Kumali, but saying any SLC is good is a stretch so take it with a grain of salt.

The Road to 300: Dorney, Knoebels, Hershey, SFGAdv... and Yeungling!

This was fun to read! Glad you got to go on a coaster trip and hit your 300th. I need to revisit a lot of these parks since most of them have new additions (except Dorney which I will be happy to never go back to).

    Favourite beverage

If I'm looking to get a buzz it's Canadian Club and water, but if I'm just wanting something to unwind it's red wine or a beer!

Six Flags Great Escape | The Bobcat | Gravity Group Wooden Family Coaster | 2024

They seemed to make an effort to open it the two days I was there, but one day it didn't open until the later afternoon and then the second day there were a few shut downs for whatever reason (inclement weather supposedly, where not a drop was falling from the sky). It did open both days though...

Six Flags Great Escape | The Bobcat | Gravity Group Wooden Family Coaster | 2024

If there's one droplet of rain within 30 miles of the park, don't even bother! I got in line three times and as soon as one sprinkle came from the sky, it closed. They also only seemed to be opening it for partial parts of the day (it was shut the entire first day except the last few hours of...

    Your Least Common Opinion?

I actually don't really know what the general consensus is on the Great Escape, but I actually loved it. It's one of the only Six Flags parks that has a really charming feel in some areas, and doesn't feel like a Six Flags park too much at all (until you go to buy the $21 chicken tenders...

Alpine Bobsled- Great Escape- Cool coaster, definitely loads better than La Vibora since I didn't get my ribs squished on this one. It's a little uncomfortable going into the brakes, but it's a fun ride overall and I guess it's a bummer to see it going, because the park doesn't have a very...

Are family-owned parks always superior to corporate parks?

Like you said, it's not just a black and white issue. I find that you'll get more quantity of average or above coasters at the bigger chains, as well as more technologically advanced dark rides, typically. But with the chains, you run into the same clones, the same atmosphere, the same names...

    Your Least Common Opinion?

High Roller is better than Renegade at Valleyfair. Actually it might be the best coaster in the park.

Steel Venom at Valleyfair was... An impulse. That's about all I have to say about it other than I legitimately forgot about the holding brake and it scared the crap out of me. The mental anguish of deciding to either get the last cred in the park and potentially miss a flight also prevented me...

Which B&M coaster model is your favourite?

Giga and Hyper mainly because I'm beginning to stray away from inversion based coasters! But a nice, graceful invert is usually still something I enjoy as long as it's not killing me with positive Gs. I want to say flying coaster, but they're too hit and miss for me. Something like Flying Dino...

    Milestones in Your Counts

That's ****ing insane. Congrats. It has ti be hard to reach a milestone when you basically have been on every coaster in the world!

How Has Your Enthusiasm Grown or Changed?

I was having this discussion with my boyfriend on the way to Six Flags New England two weeks ago, about how I have been an enthusiast since before I was a teenager, but over those two decades, the nature of my enthusiasm has sort of shifted. I used to be very interested in gathering facts and...

VelociCoaster or Flying Dinosaur; which Jurassic Park thrill coaster do you prefer?

I hated Flying Dinosaur and would probably even say Pteradon Flyers is a better themed dino coaster than that, despite having never been on it. In fact, I'd rather sit on a bench. I was meant to ride Velocicoaster this summer but those plans got scrapped, so I literally went to Florida this...

Which UK coaster lineup is your favourite?

Based on cred variety and quality alone, I'd probably have to say Alton Towers, followed by Blackpool and then Thorpe. Alton has a bit more of a mixed bag, and even though I find B&Ms mostly a bit samesies these days, I did find the ones at Alton a bit more unique and enjoyable, disregarding any...

    "Now Showing"

Talk to Me Went into town today and decided to see a movie, and was pleasantly surprised when I noticed there was a horror movie playing. The movie doesn't seem too well known and I didn't really know what to expect, but it was actually pretty good as far as horror movies are concerned. It...

Joker at Six Flags New England. I don't know if I'm in the minority here, but I think these things are so much fun! I'd been on the other models but yeah, I was just laughing the entire time. Even though I knew what to expect, it had been a while since I'd been on one, so I was pleasantly...

What is your attitude to revisiting parks you've been to before?

I like visiting theme parks a second time, usually as long as it's a decent one. You wouldn't catch me going back to a complete **** hole and being happy about it! For big parks I find that sometimes I can be overwhelmed and feel rushed on my first visit, especially if it's a day trip, therefore...

Would you skip creds to reach a milestone on a decent coaster?

Definitely not. Half the time I don't even realize a milestone is happening, and half of my milestones are trash anyway because of a cred I discovered I had been on at the age of 3, a few hundred coasters into my enthusiasm!
