Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

We haven't been yet. Our last trip to Thorpe was pretty bad (bad food, park looked shabby, long queues for everything) so we're not in a rush to return. Maybe we will in the summer, orcin September. I just don't want to be queuing 45 minutes+ for everything

Universal considering UK theme park in Bedford

Interesting article in Bedford Today - apparently people from the council were meant to give an update on the project at a meeting but they didn't attend, someone else was asked for more news but they said they'd signed an NDA so weren't sure what was allowed to be said. Sounds like it probably...

Puy du Fou proposing UK theme park near Bicester

I last went to Puy Du Fou 20 years ago, but it really is an impressive place. The shows can't really be compared to anything else in theme parks, other than maybe Waterworld at Universal, the scale and level of special effects is stunning. I remember the first show we watched was about a siege...

Xuzhou - Another China Weekend Part 2: Fantawild Wonderland

I love reading these trip reports for places I'll never get to, it's like a different world!

    WTF Disney?

Yeah that's what I said to my wife. For next year, we'll head to Epic Universe for the first week and then not go to Disney until the 2nd week of the trip, when usually we'd do maybe 3 nights at Universal and then 11 at Disney.

    WTF Disney?

This is from WDW Magic but all the Disney sites seem to have the same information (I'm guessing from a press release, I can't find the FAQ on any official sites) But basically Hotel Guests can book 7 days in advance, non-hotel guests can book 3 days in advance, and international guests can book...

    WTF Disney?

Apparently if you are an international visitor you can't book them until the first day you get to America, by which point they'll all be taken by the hotel guests who live in the US. I'm guessing you could use a VPN to get around it but that's a crappy requirement.

Universal considering UK theme park in Bedford

Seems like maybe an internal decision has already been made to ahead with this, otherwise why would they still be releasing all this stuff? Didn't people say there were told at the meeting that the decision was meant to be made in June?

    Maufacture hierachy over time

In the early 2000s I definitely used to see it as: 1. B&M 2. Intamin (just for the huge coasters they were building) 3. Everyone else 4. Vekoma Then when I really got into theme park trips around 2016-2020 it was: 1. RMC 2. Mack 3. Intamin 4. B&M 5. Everyone else 6. Gerstlauer But now in 2024...

    Formula Rossa SBNO

If the plans for the F1 track and rest of the Qiddiya resort go ahead, I'm assuming they'll keep pumping the cash in to keeping it running until that all opens, so hopefully we'll get a good few years of it running! I think the F1 track is meant to be 2030 isn't it?

Universal's Epic Universe | Orlando USA | Theme Park

The hotel looks awesome, just can't wait for them to start accepting bookings so we get an idea of the price.

Thorpe Park | Hyperia | Mack Hyper Coaster | 2024

Ghost Train used to just open later in the day as well didn't it when it was new? Feel like every time we've been to Thorpe hardly anything is open for the first hour or so

Coasters that gave you the biggest sense of "danger"

The wing coaster at Heide Park. There's a bit where you drop down into a short tunnel and there's some theming that's meant to be some spikes or something. Our first ride was on the front row and just as we crested the hill before that drop I could just about make out something spikey at the...

Major Expansion Announced for Tokyo DisneySea

You definitely have a chance of getting on it, even this week people have been getting in with the general public and there's still been standby passes available, just need to get there early to be near the front of the queue. Or if you're staying at the hotels with the early entry, then you'll...

    WTF Disney?

For us, there's been so many things that have put us off returning to Florida. For a while we were going 2x a year, but now with: -No free fast pass -No advance fast pass reservations -No included dining plan (although I think this has mostly returned lately) -No service to take your purchases...

Major Expansion Announced for Tokyo DisneySea

Ans you need a reservation fornthe ride, even for the standby line. I guess they're not giving out many standby passes each day, so the queues won't get long unless there's a lot of downtime

Major Expansion Announced for Tokyo DisneySea

Yeah I think we got lucky getting in then, can imagine it'll be manic for the proper opening.

Major Expansion Announced for Tokyo DisneySea

It definitely didn't feel like many people were in the area at any given time, queues for everything else were still about an hour, with Soaring at 2

Major Expansion Announced for Tokyo DisneySea

We got into Fantasy Springs today as part of the soft opening! We just entered the park as normal then could select a standby ticket for Peter Pan via the app and paid for a fast pass for tangled. Once inside we managed to go to the Lost Boys restaurant and go to the gift shop in the hotel...
