Well this ride is now very vertical! Interesting design to say the least. This larger tower structure will have 2 sets of parallel tracks attached to it. Maybe this is something like Mack's version of Sandy's Blasting Bronco?
^In Intamin's post they say that work on that final piece was done in an 80-meter-high basket, so I'd assume it's pretty close to that, from the start of the drop to the tunnel entrance.
What a ridiculous set of photos.
Seeing the other Intamins on order, and the setup of the footers (which also look identical to the Mahuka clone btw), my immediate thought was Darkoaster minus the station-bypass track section. Turns out there looks to be a stock model of almost exactly that. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if it...

On a better view from the side, you can see it's not a full dip; it looks like it's designed to nearly flatten out, but always on enough of an incline so there's no valley point there.
Regardless, cannot WAIT to see this crazy bastard start testing.
It could also be this final section, which looks super cool & intertwined:
Eager to see what the remaining track looks like. Not gonna be the most insanely aggressive ride like the original Raptors, but should be awesome when dueling.
Not trying to really argue, but there is definitely something on the ascent side of the Arch:
Could be just a "we'll deliver it with them installed, just in case" scenario. We'll see. Genuinely insane that this thing is just a few track sections away from being complete.
And a brand new pic...
I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell Intamin would touch it at this point. As soon as Zamperla began "frankenstein'ing" the project, I would expect Intamin to have very quickly cut any and all ties & liability with that ride. I feel like we're firmly in the territory of either A)...
This whole thing feels like such a gamble. They just went the whole 2024 season with the main ride effectively not opening at all, then shift this project allegedly to 'make up for' that blunder... now THIS ride is already said to have a "early summer 2025" opening, it's October and there's...
Oh wow, that was quick! Very much looking forward to the eventual replacement; when I was standing beside it last month, I was already envisioning some kind of Hot Racer or Raptor there 🤣 that's some good real estate right beside the water there!
DAY 4
Saturday began with a nearly 3 hour drive north. A pretty peaceful drive aside from the excessive amount of speed-monitoring cameras, I arrived at the next park: PowerPark!
Immediately upon exiting the car, I was met with the challenge of the day: wind, and a lot of it. Decently strong...
DAY 3
Another nice hotel breakfast, and it was unfortunately time to leave Helsinki proper. Hopped on a train for a ~40 minute ride back to the airport to pick up my rental car for the next phase of the trip. Reserved a VW Golf, received a very nice Mercedes C-class. Thank you Enterprise! 😆...
DAY 2
After some much needed sleep, the next day began with a great hotel breakfast buffet and a walk around the city center. Immediately greeted by an unavoidable amount of rentable electric scooters, so I downloaded the app, scanned the QR code on a scooter, and took off around the city...
Hi all!
I believe this is my first entry here. I just got back from a wonderful week in Europe, and after some inspiration from @toofpikk 's awesome thread, I'd love to recap everything here! As the title suggests, this trip consisted of my first visit to Finland and Poland, and featured these...
That's sickening.
Initial reaction to the Goliath repaint- don't love it. I'm a sucker for the current colors with the old school grey rails/ties. I'm sure it'll look great once finished, will be a great first impression at the park.
But that reminds me... why can't they paint Nitro already?
Same could be said about a Dive Coaster. If that (probable) Tilt Coaster track didn't already show up at SF Mexico, I would agree that could be possible. But I don't think the odds are great that they've ordered a custom Tilt for Great America, or bought one off another cancelled project.
A...
I do NOT intend for this comment to break out the chart. But from looking at the banking in the POV and comparing it to the horizon, it looks like the first element is banked at around 105° at the apex. You'll be floating through the top of it, but more sideways than upside-down IMO. I think the...
