It’s a funny looking ride for sure, definitely should be good if it handles well. Not holding out much hope for world class but it looks really good. Loving the RMC influence, interesting to see how a stall plays out on another manufacturer’s ride. I might be the only enthusiast that likes S&S...
Watching the announcement streamed now, it's some kind of S&S hyperlooper with 9 inversions. No layout yet but it already sounds like something the park needs.
I was referring to a “forwards, backwards, forwards” launch that volleys the train back and forth to pick up speed. Sky Rocket II clones, Gale Force, Goldrush, the previously mentioned Mack coasters, Soaring With Dragon, that concept.
Is there a formal technical term for that that’s been agreed...
Final guess time!
S&S air launch designed by Centerline with three inversions and a tallest drop bigger than the initial height. 6 4-person cars per train.
I want it to be Mack or Vekoma but I’m sticking with S&S or Gerst as more reasonable. I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of a volley...
I thought there was confirmation looking at the maintenance bays in the site plan that it wasn’t a spinner? Nothing about the theme suggests it remotely, as early on as it may be.
Some things to note from teasers:
*One poster mentions copper tubing, this is probably not only hinting at the...
If it’s anything like that recreation it’s going to be incredible, the pacing towards the second half looks ballistic. Maverick of the Deep South anyone?
SFFT’s is over that water feature that was part of the splash boats if I’m correct. Maybe just flatten that hillside out to put water there and on the steep bit behind it have a retaining wall covered by rockwork and a waterfall? SFGAm is a pretty flat place for the most part, this slope can’t...
NTG is the closest thing I’ve seen to RMC roughness because of its lack of laminate. It does click when it travels from one rail segment to another. However, it’s just a minor tick and exerts no real force at all. The ride is still glass smooth, even for 7 years old. Gives me serious hope that...
Actually I've been told the reason Mystic Timbers just has that little mobile kiosk is because Banshee's gift shop doesn't make any money. They didn't want to invest in a permanent building because in the event Mystic's wasn't profitable either they could just roll the stand away, as opposed to...
Had no idea they had Roanoke trademarked! If they’re referring to Roanoke as in the lost coastal American colony, that would be the perfect foundation for a ride backstory at this park!
Yeah I doubt some arrogant kid with a camera and a cult of brainwashed teenagers that find his trash content remotely acceptable has enough influence over the industry to significantly sway a poll like this. I’m sure most enthusiasts know Coaster Studios is a joke and don’t take it seriously...
Yeah those look like the Banshee pieces that were up first, that’s what it is. I actually don’t mind it, it should look nice, earthy, and soft on the eyes when done.
This is actually a top priority in Europe for me, both Novgorod and Karnan look like Gerst's best!
Since it seems to be rising as sort of "the gimmick" lately, maybe an extreme spinner? Europe doesn't have one yet, they just did one in Asia with inversions, and between that one and the American...
Well my number one is Steel Vengeance, I'm such a special snowflake. :P
I went into my first ride with a very deliberate point to rank the ride fairly. Regardless of how it rode, I knew because it was at Cedar Point it would get tons of extreme reactions. CP and RMC fanboys had already decided...
Anyone else notice the truss-looking supports on the Raven turn? The supports as a whole look too scattered to be a uniform wooden truss so that’s pretty much the last nail in the RMC coffin. They remind me of El Loco supports kind of, but also Karnan’s weird turnaround thing.
That’s assuming...
