The “charity” it goes towards is the National Roller Coaster Museum, aka the private collection disguised as a museum. It will likely never open to the public, as it’s just a way for the owner to come into possession of cool pieces of coaster history and lock them away forever.
My top 10, ranked by how high I have them compared to their VoteCoasters rank!
T-1: Phantom’s Revenge, +22 (My #8, VoteCoasters #30)

I’d imagine they’re just testing the “backup mode” for if the train stops on the launch due to an error. Velocicoaster has this too, if a train stops on the second launch, it will launch a small amount backwards first, and then forward and over the top hat.
It’s definitely not suspended, as a lot of the track is two-tube, and the drive tires are facing upwards. Probably just a normal Vekoma or Gerstlauer family coaster. They have bought from Gerstlauer before.
No idea what those big trusses are for though.
Ah, now that it’s complete it’s a lot clearer what the support structure is.
Appears to simply be a beefier version of Kirnu’s supports, probably for CSEI. I color coded support beams that I found to be similar between the two for reference.
I use Discord predominantly to talk about roller coasters nowadays, I prefer the more fluid and fast paced nature of the chat system. I still frequent these forums though, because sometimes I need something different. I like writing long form posts sometimes, and Discord is not conducive to...
Why is the support structure on this one so different from others of the same layout? Is it an earthquake proofing thing, or maybe new trains? Or do they just like the aesthetic of more supports?
Photo of Kirnu at Linnanmäki for reference:
Questions like this are simplified by simply not counting powered coasters at all. Is a Disk-O a coaster? Nope, it’s powered. Is Pipe Scream a coaster? Nope, powered. Counting powered coasters opens up a whole can of worms and blurs lines far beyond my liking.
1: Voyage: Last year I would have said retrack the first camelback and the final turn. Those are the two parts of the ride that really needed it last year. Now, guess which two parts of the ride are getting smoothed out this offseason? I genuinely cannot think of anything now. Maybe give it a...
The only thing I can even imagine potentially overtaking Voyage is Eejanaika, and that’s only if it knocks my socks off with how good it is. I won’t be riding it for the foreseeable future, so I hope it sticks around for awhile so that I can ride it one day.
