Having done both now, it’s close. They’re only 3 spots apart from each other in my rankings, but Intimidator just fits my taste in coasters so perfectly. I can absolutely see it going the other way though, and it’s really a toss up that’s almost entirely decided by your taste in rides.
If all that the officials in question did was along the lines of the examples you gave, I don’t think this would be a big deal. The reason this is so awful is that they were having big extravagant parties during lockdown, and then covering it up from the public. It’s not just that they broke the...
Being a military child and spending my formative years in multiple places, I have a pretty nondescript accent. I'd say that the places that I've picked up the most from have been Washington state, and by coincidence, Washington, D.C. which I currently live right next to.
Since my last ranking, I've ridden Pantheon and thought a lot about my top 10, as well as migrated my rankings to CaptainCoaster. All this will change again soon but I wanted to get this out before I add anything from Carowinds or Holiday World in two or three weeks.

The most I’ve done is 14 rides on Phoenix on the same day as @Kw6sTheater ’s much more impressive 21. I might have beaten him had I not been dragged onto Flying Turns, which had opened for ERT, by my dad (we had ridden it already the day before). I also have done 12 rides on Skyrush as well...
Let me set the scene.
Summer of 2018.
I had not yet become an "enthusiast", per se, but I was heavily growing into my love of roller coasters. My family had just taken a trip to Italy, and since my dad was on deployment in the middle east at the time, we took a stop there for a week or so, to...
If we’re talking about the restraints in a vacuum, then the Intamin overhead restraints win it for me. However, the B&M clamshells mesh so well with the forces that B&M Hypers exert that I have to give it to them. B&M floater in a loose clamshell is one of the best coaster sensations period.
No need to apologize, Matt! I was just having a bit of fun, you’re allowed to like whatever you want. Plus, there are lots of people with multiple B&M hypers in their top 5 or 10. You said it well, they’re a phenomenal ride type!
Great report Matt! I don’t usually find myself reading all the way through a TR, but this one had me coming back to hear what you had to say.
On another note, I can’t wait to see future Matt’s top 5 made up entirely of B&M hypers ;)
Having not been on a ton of the “elite” traditional wooden coasters, my favorite is Phoenix. I love how jank and unrefined the finale is, and I love its history. I love that it’s at Knoebels and I love just the sheer vibes that it exudes.
