I was at BGW a few days ago. Minor update: The sign has been installed and as far as I could spot the entrance area seems to be ready to go. Actually looks pretty good.
I was at Fun Spot Atlanta last Sunday. The park was absolutely deserted, AF1 was a complete walk on. I actually felt a bit sorry for the park that they couldn't attract more people on the opening weekend. And those that did ride AF1 were mostly enthusiasts that just came for the ride. Yeah, from...
I posted a similar idea at some point and, in fact, if they'd want to get back the height record, adding a boost and a spike would probably be the cheapest way to get it (while still providing some decently complete ride experience). I was seriously hoping that they would go all the way and do...
I see you point, but on the other hand, you could equally well argue that being more and more rare would actually make it more interesting. Consider, for instance, the theme of Baron 1898. Have you ever seen an active mineshaft? Don't know which argument would hit in the end, but I'm just saying...

Wasn't yet in the boat for classifying this as a top tier coaster. I thought the plain out-and-back would make it a bit too predictable. However, seeing the POV, I might revise my expectations. Could be pretty high up there. The pacing and composition of elements looks very convincing.
I rode it back in November last year and I recall that it did have a noticeable vibration in some passages. But it was nothing remotely as strong as to ruin the experience. It was relatively warm though for November.
Rode pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg yesterday. The ride is awesome! The park only opened at 5pm, so I mostly got night rides. I must say, I didn't have too high expectations hearing that some people were a bit disappointed outside the backwards airtime and the spike. So I was pleasantly...
Well, they'd always sell it a bit bigger, I'd say. I guess they do some substantial retracking of some portions of the layout, but not a throughout overhault of everything. Would assume they'd made a bigger deal of it if it were so (like Parc Asterix did it for their Zeus).
