I see you just wanted to say a good word for the safety in amusement parks and I appreciate it, but: If you do statistics like this, to be fair, you have to consider the fact that many(!) more people participate in the traffic on the roads than going to amusement parks. More concretely, you'd...
Yesterday, I visited Kings Dominion for the first time. The weather forecast predicted some rain. Nevertheless, I went there hoping for low crowd levels. And, wow, the park was absolutely deserted! I honestly think there might have been more people belong to the staff than guests. Every...
Do I understand correctly that they only remove the track at the launch side and not at the brake side? Then we may also consider the possibility that they reverse the direction the train navigates the course. Maybe it's simpler to replace the former brake fins with the launch fins and change...
I'd also not consider this as an indicator for Lisebergbanan leaving the park. Maybe it would have disturbed too much the visuals (as opposed to the Log Flume which does not appear very prominently in the POV).
I think it's a good question. I was asking myself the same thing at some point. Actually, I remember that Werner Stengel (I came across him at an event called Achterbahn Akademie at Holiday Park in 2006) was making that point. He was explaining why - from an engineering point of view - it's...
I've had my troubles deciding which one to pick for each score. So, let's add another restriction: What about picking all coasters from one manufacturer? Actually, with Mack it seems to work, they have a pretty large span:
10 RTH (Plopsa de Panne)
9 Helix (Liseberg)
8 Copperhead strike...
That artwork looks brilliant, so stoked for this. 😍 Hope though that they will be a bit less aggressive with their sponsoring / advertisement / product placement here and not put random Teslas in each corner
(That's the one thing I don't like about Europa-Park, each queue line keeps...
Yeah, this ride is really unique in a way. I wrote it about three weeks ago and I think one can safely say, this is as smooth as it can get both from the profiling of the transitions as well as the tracking. It's magical smooth. What Vekoma does here is the perfection of designing the forces the...
This is a picture of the metro station construction site I did about two weeks ago when visiting the park:
The restaurant "green room" to the right of the shown frame is still in place. (BTW, they offer pretty good food! 😋)
Does anyone know what this construction side (on the other side of...
After I rode Alpina Blitz (the Mack take on the Mega-lite) last year I manage to get on my first original Mega-lite in Piraten at Djurs Sommerland. First, this is another great family oriented mid-size park. Lots of nicely themed rides, super friendly staff(!!) and an overall very relaxed...
I fully get your point, but why should he be so picky with using that term? In the end he wants to advertise it.
And, to be honest, I think an axis coaster would fit very well. IMO, this coaster model really shines if it's not just a bare bone coaster but if there is theming and buildings...
Regarding Balder: I heard some new prefabricated track has been damaged (warped due to water and/or wrong storage) so it had to be fabricated again or somehow refurbished. Don't know if that rumor is already outdated or the newly fabricated/ refurbished track is already put into place?
