Seeing as the park is open 10-6, I'm assuming we'll be meeting up 9/9:30ish?
Just thinking I might just book a cheap travelodge nearby for the Saturday rather than risk getting stuck on the M1 at stupid o'clock.
London, Amsterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Madrid, Rome, Vatican City, Oslo, Prague, Luxembourg City, Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna
I think that's up to date now.
I don't think people are doubting that it 'could' be re-located, rather that it actually is being.
It wouldn't surprise me, but lets wait for some actual evidence first, yeah?
It's a tough one.
Are shows essential, or even worthwhile, for a park? Not for me.
Are they essential to a resort though? Definitely.
If you're only spending a day at a park, I don't think shows are a worthwhile investment. If the park is clearly aimed at attracting multi-day visits though...
Nah I agree with that, along a similar line the Whopper Jr from Burger King is fast out-placing the Mayo Chicken as my go-to 99p-so-I'll-buy-3-of-them option.
Councillors will just end up being given a few extra free tickets to some concerts or sports events and a bit of extra wining and dining and it'll get granted.
Yes. Particularly for a ride that looked the way it did.
It's not that you can't have a different opinion, it's that when you were challenged on your initial opinion you then kept changing what it was that you were arguing. First it appeared the removal, then it was the lack of a replacement...
It's ironic that you choose that picture though because it's taken right at the arse-end of the park where there's literally **** all there apart from a wasted space of missed opportunity.
Phantasialand is easily the most overrated park I've experienced. The rapids were amazing, Klugheim is...
You aren't half coming across as awfully entitled in here Coaster.
Ignoring the fact that it's none of your business why they removed the ride, to then boil it right down to you being unhappy with the terminology they've used when announcing the rides removal is beyond petty.
Better to remove...
Similar to Snoo, first thought was always anything with airtime because it's just impossible to explain it to people who don't really know coasters why you like something so much.
Balder was the first that came to mind but that's probably because I've tried to explain to people why I like it so...
Ewwwww.
Cheers for that Helix documentary above, loved it. Ignoring the random bollocks about rating it, thought it was a great insight into the ride, operations, how it keeps them safe etc...Would probably have just enough cross-over appeal to get random GP watchers
Wickerman's success?
What success is this? I thought all the recent noise from Alton was that they'd had yet another piss poor season and were trying to pay reduced business rates as a result?
Yeah likewise, they'd have gone for a much safer option.
And yeah as above, the more I think about it the more I think it's unbelievably harsh on Wardley, knowing how much he pushed for a woodie, to treat him as such an afterthought.
Yeah that reflects REALLY badly on Alton's planning department if the senior management were of the understanding that he'd been involved for the last five months.
Can imagine the awkward silence when he finally asked "What does John think of it?".
At a guess, the ****e original drops were...
