I'm on the European Coaster Club tour through Finland this week and we just visited Powerpark today. Junker has just been struck by lightning last night and was closed for the entire day. It may remain closed for a while, as the park is waiting for a replacement part from Gerstlauer now.
It...

We stopped there at the end of ECC's tour through the Alps last year. The people running the place were all really lovely and I feel bad that they'll have to close down the place after less than 6 years. That said, the park felt rather soulless and fairly bland, so I'm not surprised it never...
Not sure if you've done Skull Rock or not, but that ride is also excellent. Same owners and same manufacturer as for Hotel Psycho, though with a bit less of a horror theme.
Shame about Wiener Looping, though that seems to be a bit of recurring theme with these new Macks. When I rode it, I...
The only thing I liked about it was that slow spiral lift with the 90s techno soundtrack blasting on full volume. Hopefully there's a way to incorporate something similar into the new coaster. The actual coaster is rough as pants and the layout is pretty unimaginative, so I won't miss it one...
From memory, I would say Plopsaland's Batflyer (or any Caripro Batflyer for that matter). Those brakes were extremely uncomfortable, not least because of the awkward straddled seating design. Lisebergbanan's brakes are quite extreme as well.
But, otherwise, this;
Tykkimäki amusement park in Finland is replacing their old Mack Powered coaster with a brand new SBF Visa Ultra model of the Family coaster line for the 2026 season.

The trains here are a fair bit longer than the Dive Coaster cars. I can imagine there's still going to be some whip over the drop in the back row.
But yeah, this coaster is all about the sense of speed and I like that it maintains a lot of it after the arch. That bit looks more exciting than it...

It looks like Czech Republic is getting its first major coaster in 2027, with a new woodie being added to the small Park Mirakulum that is located just to the East of the capital Prague. According to rcdb, the ride will be a kilometer long, 25m tall and will reach the speeds of 77 km/h, making...
Might as well do mine as I'm done with coastering for the year as well.

I haven't done of these in an absolute age, but we visited Cyprus for a few days at the end of October with my parents and since Cyprus is rarely talked about on CF, I decided to shed some light on their only amusement park. Cyprus is a country that has been split into two parts since the mid...
I also fail to see how at least the poor design of the restrains is in any way the steel manufacturer's fault. I also assume the wear is that severe because the trains are much heavier than the load the wheels were designed for.
Everything about the mentioned issues screams poor design, yet...
Yeah, we were there for two days and a bit last October. Friday was completely doable even without a fast pass (we did have a couple of single shot passes, but they weren't a particular necessity), while a fast pass was an absolute must on Saturday (and the bit of Sunday when we went).
