I don't know if it's just the angle of those photos, but that spike really doesn't look like 170ft 😂
I'd argue that Velocicoaster still looks taller, BUT, I'm sure seeing it in person will change that perspective (especially as it's towering over the city walk).
Great trip report Matt!
I had a feeling Toutatis would become your #1 based on how much you enjoyed Velocicoaster - I honestly feel the same, it's like Velocicoaster but every element hits really well and the swing-launch is just insane! The biggest surprise was definitely seeing that you...
Time for another update on this I think!
1. Andor - I can't believe I actually had this placed at 3rd on my last ranking. But after season 2, I can honestly say that this is Star Wars at its best. Amazing writing, acting, visuals, and the way it leads directly into Rogue One is 'chefs kiss'! It...
1. Voltron - Honestly, a perfect coaster for me. Layout wise, no changes at all. Only improvement I can think of is perhaps adding a little more "voltron" theming near the back half of the coaster.
2. Zadra - Again, a pretty much perfect coaster! I've never had an issue with the RMC restrains...
After a recent first-time visit to Efteling....
1. Valkyria - Still my favourite dive coaster. Love how whippy it rides compared to the other dives and the views of Gothenburg from the top are incredible! Also, never had an issue with the restraints on here.
2. Shiekra - Love the classic B&M...
It's great to see this park adding another coaster in literally a year after their newest addition, and I can certainly agree that the amount of care and investment going into this park puts the other UK parks to shame. But I have to agree with others - whilst I'm fully aware that us enthusiasts...
On closer inspection of the recent construction images/videos, I'm fairly confident that we can rule out it being a Wing Coaster and possibly even a Dive Coaster. Looking at the width of that trench near Abyssus, it looks to be way too narrow for those coaster types. My guess is a Surf Coaster...
I actually have a feeling that they're going to move away from theming their future coasters. Looking at Choco Chip Creek, they couldn't even finish the rockwork on their newest family coaster so theming a larger thrill coaster seems unlikely at this point. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I...
Yeah, it feels like most things just pop up there 🤣
Looking back on previous construction feeds, they've announced past attractions such as Hyperion were coming on their social media pages (though not always clear on what that attraction will be at the time!).
I'd definitely say based on the current location of where the footers are (a rather small footprint compared to your larger out-and-back style B&Ms) and the fact that we already know this won't be any taller 65 meters, it's almost certain that this will be a dive coaster.
Thought I'd try and rank all the ones I've done. After some thought, I've realised I've not actually had any 'bad' hotel experiences - some are just not as good as others!
1. Charles Lindbergh Hotel (Phantasialand) - As a Theme Park enthusiast, this is just absolute perfection for me. The size...
Tonnerre 2 Zeus has opened up for the season with it's new RMC Re-track.
https://youtu.be/9HtdMrg8SiM?si=5wCMxMpiquJzZllO
The re-tracked sections are looking A LOT smoother than before! I must admit, part of me is slightly gutted to see it looking so smooth now as I believe I was one of the...
Tonnerre 2 Zeus - Seen a lot of people hate on this one for being rough and uncomfortable. Whilst I can agree with those points, that's partly the reason why I absolutely love it so much. Sometimes I don't always want my wooden coasters to be smooth and padded (with the likes of Wodan/Wicker...
I've just checked and it's just as well my trip there was cancelled! The only two days I would have been able to go were the Monday and Tuesday 🤣 Seriously, if things calm down over in the Middle East and I can one day have faith in travelling over there again, I really hope they have their...
From what I've seen, life as going on pretty much as normal in Riyadh but as others have said, right now it's not worth the risk. It could be a case where you go there, all is well, then things escalate and the airport has to close down (like they have with other countries in the Gulf Region)...
Well....looks like my trip to Six Flags Qiddiya won't be happening anytime soon 🙃
Meant to be going in early April but I very much doubt things will have calmed down by then. It seems a few (but not all) airlines are suspending their flights to Riyadh, I'm still yet to hear back from Virgin...
Well, I've been in touch with Six Flags Qiddiya's social media page on Instagram and this is the info they have on their Go-Fast passes that can only be bought in the park :
Available categories:
Unlimited Gold:
Weekdays: SAR 310 | Weekends: SAR 430
Unlimited access to all rides + one-time...
As far as I'm aware, fast passes are still unavailable on the website (this seems to be more than just a glitch now). From what someone else said on the last page, fast passes are only available at the park but don't include Falcon's Flight. Really hope this is just a temporary issue 🙏
