Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
This just appeared on Alton Towers' YouTube channel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycwM4DqIOj0
I started reading it this evening, it's actually pretty good.
I work at a design agency so can totally see why the image is pixelated, it was probably made by someone who didn't realise that print needs 300dpi images - it would have looked fine on a screen at 72dpi. He wouldn't have known...
You thought the cover looked bad on the photo? Wait until it arrives! It's all pixellated
The book was clearly made with some kind of Amazon build your own book to sell thingy, but I guess that for such a niche book it's the only way to do it really.
Most of the book is about his life pre...

I'm thinking the same, but I reckon that the TVs around the top will bring it to live and make it look amazing when they're working.

Just spotted a link to this on Twitter: http://www.altontowers.com/thesmiler2
Doesn't look like it's meant to be live yet so I took a screenshot. It'd make sense for it to go live later today though.
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1st
The guy who made the video works for http://www.tbwamanchester.com/. TBWA are an agency who work with Cake PR who have been responsible for Alton Towers' PR since 2011. It's definitely connected in some way.
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1st
I'm hoping that the inoculator is part of a video which goes along with the first three teaser images. The inoculator as a name for a rollercoaster sounds a bit too RCT for me.
I'm loving the marketing going on though, it's top notch.
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1st
I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the real ad on TV!
The same way that they measure it in hospital. The flashlight lights up your finger and the camera can pick up tiny fluctuations in colour due to the capillaries opening with each...

Re: Ocean Kingdom | "Unknown" | B&M Wing Coaster
Looking like we now know that coaster will be called "flying over the rainforest" by the poster in front of the train.
