I would very much disagree that it lacks a soul. The clever supports, unique engineering, and one of a kind setting really make it stand out for me. Having seen in person a few months ago, the scale is just absolutely wild. I love projects with interesting design and this one checks all those...
This is a fun thread to read. I've enjoyed everyone's posts thus far.
2024 was a strange year for me. I left my job at SeaWorld Orlando, taking a new role with an engineering company in Saudi Arabia. A big change in my life and for my coaster riding. The year started ok, then slowed down...
It does get surprisingly windy in Riyadh, though. Very frequently I'm dealing with sand storms or at least poor air quality due to the dust blowing in.
I rode #1300 today! Fun to be able to do it at both my "home" park and as one of the last projects I worked on at SeaWorld before moving to a new job.
So that falls in line with:
100: Thunderhead
200: Maximum RPM
300: Leviathan
400: Roller Coaster (Amazing World)
500: Manta
600: Mine Blower...
It was a tight fit with the seatbelt, but I also rode Wild Train this last Wednesday. What a great ride. Ridiculous airtime yet still surprisingly comfortable. I know the Mack will be cool, but I will certainly miss this crazy ride. Enjoyed a number of laps over the afternoon including night...
The reason there isn't a block brake at the top of the cliff is completely due to response time. It would take about 20 minutes to get up there as they're have to go out to a main road, up the highway, and back to get to this point.
There will not be trims on the big hill. In the event of a...
Yeah the rain is a tire drive tire thing and it's a fairly common issue with these types of rides. Not necessarily a Pax thing. Some parks have put covers over their tire drives as one solution.
But yes, the park did explicitly confirm that the ride will not run at all with any rain.
The park confirmed to me in an e-mail that it is open until the end of their season. So November 2. They did also confirm it does not run in the rain.
I'll be there October 30, so hoping for good weather!
I've got 27 at this point. Sad that there's not near as many opportunities for this to go up as there used to be.
1. Sooperdooperlooper- Hershey
2. Mind Bender- SFOG
3. Viper- SFOG
4. Laser- Dorney
5. Scorpion- BGT [RIP]
6. Wildcat- Cedar Point
x. Greezed Lightnin'*- KK (relocated #3 Viper...
Have they fully confirmed 2026? Last I spoke to the SEVEN management team, this was being pushed to open in 2025 (albeit later 25). May be published as 26 with the internal goal of 25.
This is about 10 minutes from my apartment and I drive by it frequently. Not much new to see on the...
I take that to be ride manufacturer cost, which I suppose I wasn't considering when I said all-in. $13M less ride is still not awful for a project like this.
Love the stats and the presentation @Hixee. Need to make some adjustments to mine-- you've given me a few ideas.
I do have a couple charts in other tabs, but these are my main stats. Pretty much everything is automated referencing other tabs except for the % ridden of manufacturers which I...
At home in Orlando, Disney World was closest and I made good use of that annual pass. For a number of years I was visiting multiple times per week all year long. So that added up to quite a lot. Universal was next closest which I visited on occasion (but I prefer to visit Disney). SeaWorld...

Always liked Silver Comet. Odd layout, but I'm a big fan of the CCIs.
I rode the last of the known coasters in Riyadh the other day and (aside from the Sky Rocket that doesn't open till October), this was probably the best one in the city. Smooth, decently quick, and a longer layout than...
Unfortunately I'm not able to share any pictures as part of the NDA.
As a quick summary: WOW!
It was pretty incredible to see the site in person. Pictures do not do justice to the scale of Falcon's Flight. The ride is enormous. Spitfire feels so small even standing right underneath the...
