MF and Bullet were only 4ft 6” so about 137cm.
ECG, I am always lurking around the “thoosie” community here or social media (in between supporting ‘Boro’s new USMNT star, Aidan Morris, of course!)
Didn’t know if this was worth a new topic but I’m going to pose a question which might take it off topic? So Mods if you think it should move please do!
Velocity at Flamingo Land had recently been closed for a number of weeks for maintenance, since reopening they have increased the minimum...
Reading between other posts I’ve seen dotted about it sounds like it’s being changed/adapted to be even more suited for family crowds. It has served the park for 20 years in between a catalogue of maintenance issues (and a dead monkey for good measure) so it’s about time it got changed or...
Wouldn’t go as far as suggesting an immediate new flat ride from that news. They probably think the re-opening of Duel as Curse of Alton Manor, the eventual reopening of Hex and the reopening of Sub-Terra is enough to saturate the crowds. We have of course got Project Horizon too…
I have...
So, I haven’t visited Chessington since 2008 (GF V I believe). Sam drove us down and my main concern that day was how we got back to Teesside… Tom ended up driving us back to Manchester and we got the 3.52am train to Middlesbrough laced with lager… fast forward 15 years and I find myself here...
Have a good day everyone. I did look into it and the trip was costing upwards of £200 for me which I just couldn’t justify. Absolutely gutted. Can’t wait to see pics etc
Incredibly tempted. I haven’t been to Thorpe since the day after the EuroLive, Farup my Frikadella I think?!
And I haven’t been to a coasterforce meet of any kind since the smiler opening (but not) day!
I will look into it :)
Speaking of PGCE’s … if you fancy earning one you will literally get paid £27k tax free to do so without any commitment required from you to go into the teaching profession. You can literally do your PGCE, pick up your £27k and walk away not even entering the profession because the education...
I do fear for Lightwater valley with this news and their new direction. There isn’t much extra at Lightwater Valley that you can’t find at a local farm attraction for a fraction of the cost.
I do also fear this will have a knock on effect on Flamingo Land. Competition is good, Flamingo Land no...
Judging by the stories Flamingo Land is resharing and some others posts, it looks like this is going to be such a trashy launch event and I’m kinda here for it. Cal the Dragon is definitely the worst one I’ve spotted so far - anyone seen any other trash?
The height is 33m not 3.3m - whoever has put that together has clearly seen it as 3.3m and converted it into feet and inches without questioning anyone 😅 same for the drop statistics.
I commented on their Facebook post suggesting they may be making a straw clutch at the fact that when this coaster was originally manufactured, then yes, it was world record equalling at the time.
Problem is it never actually got built and it’s also a very desperate straw to clutch at...
And on that note… anyway - recent photos suggest the water feature they have incorporated within the final turn will have water cannons that shoot out as the train bends around to the final inversion.

Official POV. Not sure how they’ve mounted that camera but I thought my head was going to smash in the track watching that! Annoyed they’ve cut it just before a sneaky glimpse inside the station too haha!
I am presuming that’s just because of the dummies used with lap bars?! They looked like me on a Friday night in the Clevo on my way for a parmo (legless)
Flamingo Land put a post up asking if you loved it or it made you sik…. Apparently there were rumours this was going to be sponsored by SikSilk clothing (had to Google it) - if that’s the case I’d much rather they kept the unimaginative ‘Invers10n’ 😩
