I set my record on the 6th October last year at Thorpe with 50 laps on Stealth in about two hours. My total ride count that day across the park for that day was 72. Being a single rider rocks!
It valleyed on Wednesday 19th June. They had the train off a couple of days later. It reopened on one train operations on the 22nd then was back on two trains by the 23rd for their "Golden Day" event.
That's not entirely a fair comment.
I don't know about this time but the first time it valleyed they had been running it with almost all the dummies (as they do every morning), slowly emptying and removing them row by row before sending empty trains.
The first time they even had staff loaded...
It's great to hear that Voltron's roughness is being tamed. That gives me hope that Hyperia may get some work over the off season to get it running like it was on opening day. Every time I've visited it's just seemed slightly more rattly than it was the previous time.
Regarding the piece of train body trim that has been removed from the back of both trains, I noticed that the mounting brackets for this piece seem to have sheared or been cut on train 2. The brackets had just been removed from train 1.
Delayed opening this morning (1.5 hours late) with people in a cherry picker looking at the entrance to the outerbank.
Doing something with a very large tool or stick. They were moving in a way that somewhat resembled a ratcheting movement?
That mark has been there since at least July 13th as that's when I first noticed it and took this (fairly naff) photo.
I'm sure if it was anything more serious than a bit of paint chipping off Thorpe would have been on it by now.
On July 13th I managed 16 Hyperia rides in the single rider queue. (Alongside other stuff, 23 in total that day.)
It certainly gets busier as the day goes on as the normal guests figure out what a single rider queue is and that Hyperia has one, but it's still almost always quicker than the main...
Hold up, will this thing be running just one train with the building circled in yellow being the station? If so, then surely the throughput is going to be pretty awful?
Wouldn't it have made more sense (from a throughput point of view) to run 2 trains with the station and a holding block where...
I'd have to say the first drop on my opening day. It was in row 7 and I had a pretty healthy amount of airtime room between myself and the lapbar. I got a scary amount of airtime going down that insane twisted drop. It was terrifying in the best way possible.
I'd have thought that the nerds of all people would understand that Thorpe is doing this to ensure we don't have opening day V2 where it operates for a day then shuts again.
Hyperia has now tested with people.

A re-opening on the 11th is now looking pretty likely.

The chain is moving!

I have heard reports from a reputable source that Hyperia tested just once around 4 o clock this morning. So I don't think we'll be seeing that.
Plus, I doubt Thorpe wants to take any track off. That would really get the news outlets going.
