What's the roughest coaster in the UK and why?

Randomly came across this thread and saw a few mentions of Turbo so apologies for bumping a 6 year old thread up. Here's my take on it and will say Turbo is the UK's roughest coaster. It's an absolute abomination and is firm bottom of my rankings of coasters. It's incredibly rough, even worse...

How smooth are Wildfire and Helix (Sweden)

Both coasters are incredibly smooth and you'll be fine I'd say the smoother one is Helix but not because Wildfire is rough, it's because Wildfire is absolutely relentless and with RMC seatbelts, they're not the most comfortable when combined with RMC restraints.

    Lightwater Valley - Future?

With Raptor Attack's closure and subsequent removal, it was announced and removed before Brighton Pier acquired the park in June 2021. It was previous ownership/operators, Livingstone Leisure Ltd who made the call for Raptor Attack to be removed and sold to Cotaland, along with the other thrill...

    Lightwater Valley - Future?

With Hollenblitz, I'm certain it's got an established building so can't see it being removed to be put into the Raptor Building The 3rd ride, here's my wild guess for it, as the park has a water ride gap, I'm gonna guess it'll be a Reverchon Travelling Log Flume (the one with the two drops)...

Hansa Park | Cornwall Coaster | Gerstlauer Family Coaster | 2026

I've done it a couple of weeks ago not long after it opened! It sort of reminds me of Gold Rush but compact, better and without the lift It's perfect for what it is, a family coaster that complements Royal Scotsman

Drayton Manor Resort Five Year Plan 2022 - 2026

Just got onto this thread and it seems that after Gold Rush, they've sort of given up on the development plan so the flat, ride relocation and the lodges never happened. Wonder when they'll start developing again?

    Liseberg attraction 2028

Possibly a nice modern water ride, Intamin Flume or a Water Coaster of some form (Mack/Intamin?) 👀

    Fun Spot Atlanta closure

ArieForceOne to Thorpe Park? 😜😂🤣 In all seriousness, this will be a loss to the theme park industry if the ride isn't sold off and relocated. Potentially as big as Kingda Ka.

Drayton Manor Resort Five Year Plan 2022 - 2026

Personally, I think it's an very easy enough solution to addressing the thrill gap, adding a Wild Mouse of some form as it's compact.

    Tivoli Gardens | Various | 3 new rides | 2026-2030

RCDB have added a page for the Tivoli Ultra Surf already so whoever runs that page seems to believe it's legit. https://rcdb.com/24252.htm

Drayton Manor Resort Five Year Plan 2022 - 2026

I'd say a couple of things 1. Train 2 on the Wave 2. A new family thrill rollercoaster on the same thrill level as Storm Chaser, Wickerman etc. Something on a higher scale from Gold Rush but also a step up to the Wave. Even if it's a Wild Mouse coaster. 3. Reuse the Pirate Adventure building 4...

    Your worst spite

Worst Spite recently Daemon at Tivoli Gardens and that's due to planned maintenance. It hasn't opened this season which it's not due to open until the end of June. Looking at the work and being at the park, I feel Tivoli could've done more to reduce the downtime as some of the work could've...

    Your Least Common Opinion?

For what it is, Paultons are exceeding expectations massively with their growth. Before Cobra and Edge, it was basically a small theme park for the tourist market in the area along the lines of Flambards. It even had exhibitions in the same vein as them back in the day. They were lucky they've...

    Emerald Park News/Discussion

Emerald Park Scoop for 2026. I saw significant construction from the Flight School lift hill on the site ahead of it (it's outside Dino Dash) Footers, Ops Cabins and the Swing Clearance Hole is in. Looked suspiciously like an ART Engineering Wild Swing. Couldn't get a clear photo as the...

    Paultons Park | Drakon | Gerstlauer Eurofighter | 2026

Possibly although I'm sure it would be a flat ride or a viewing gallery I'm pretty certain it's the trough and the drawing is for the coaster portion of the ride.

    Paultons Park | Drakon | Gerstlauer Eurofighter | 2026

It looks like this is for the coaster portion of the ride with the rest of the cleared site being the trough. Unless the site is for something else? But the layout shown is very compact compared to other water coasters

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

Speaking about Bling/Turbulence, this creator has done a video about the history of the ride (so far) which was very interesting and celebrating the ride during it's life, especially with the Doctor Who music backing it up 😆 There is some interesting theories about what happened to it and what...

    WTF Merlin?

I honestly am lost for words how much of a scandal the Alton Towers public transport issue is. The UK's most popular theme park is the most difficult to get to in Europe without a car. I am surprised the press hasn't picked up on this yet to be honest... Alton Towers is the UK's least...
