Am I missing something here, but how does this confirm a Mack coaster?
I'm not saying that Paultons aren't getting a Mack coaster (as there definitely are a lot of hints pointing towards it), but looking at bolt sets doesn't really confirm anything just because they look similar. I've worked on...
This drove me up the wall. Would it have been so hard to take some on site audio of the rides to at least get a bit of variation, rather than the same rollercoaster tycoon audio clip playing over and over.
I personally thought the documentary was dreadful. It didn't explain or explore many...
Enjoying the show so far!
One bit of feedback would be not bleeping the swear words. You can tell what you're saying anyway, but there's a few times when all you could hear is the bleeping sound and a lot of laughing afterwards. Would be good to hear what was said.
Apart from that, keep it up!
I thought I would chip in with my review of the ride.
Like others, I went in with relatively low expectations given the layout etc. Now I will have to warn, that my review is based on being in a bit of a foul mood by the time I had boarded the train, as I was unfortunate to have visited during...
I'm pretty certain these aren't an indication of extra footings. On a construction site, the triangular marking around a pin generally indicates a datum (height / position reference for surveying). Therefore I believe the marking is purely for the on site engineers to use when setting out the...
Wasn't sure if this post needed a separate topic, so I have posted it in here. (please feel free to move it if you don't think it fits in)
After browsing some recent news, I found this article relating to the transformation of the Olympic Park now that its all over...
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
To me, that looks like concrete piles. The bits sticking out of the one in the bottom left hand corner looks like protruding re-bar from when the pile has been cut off, ready to go in the concrete ground beams and pile caps.
I...
Yes there will only be a few moving plant, but they will be going on and off site constantly whilst construction is underway. There is not enough room to fit all materials and waste on the site of the coaster. Therefore they will be going in and out of x sector quite frequently. As Furie said...
You beat me to the punch.
You have summed it up in a nutshell. Access to the two rides once construction has started (and that includes ground works) is going to be practically impossible. Not to mention that the moving plant and workers will all be in close proximity of the rides. I personally...
Re: New Indoor Ride for Alton in 2012
To be fair, if you look at the plans the level of the entrance to the lift and the area proceeding it are identical so I would assume that the lift doesn't move. Plus the attraction FFL is the same as the lift area's.
I think the stairs may be to access...
Re: 60m Drop Tower for Pleasurewood Hills...
Just had a read through the documents and it seems good.
Living near this park I can definitely say it needs something of this caliber to attract more people. I know for one I would visit if this goes ahead.
However looking at the comparison...
I thought I would give my thoughts on saw as I managed to get a ride on it on Friday. The park was packed, so as we got in we headed straight for Saw to see a 2 hour queue line. So me and my mate decided to go in the single rider queue.
The queue line I thought was quite effective. Great use...
What I don't understand is why can't they invest in something new? They have a good financial backing from a well known company (owners of walibi). Surely getting a brand new compact gerstlauer or even a new mourer sohne spinner wouldn't cost that much. Something along the lines of Rage at...
Sorry guys if this is the wrong place or wrong time to post this. But theres rumours that pleasurewood hills are trying to purchase Camelot's whirlwind spinning coaster.

I'm not quite sure if this is a worthwhile investment. But then...
