Fantastic find on those European Scenics! That Pic from Barcelona appears to be similar to the coaster that once stood at Blackpool's Winter Gardens in that it's steel in structure - there was an image on a previous thread I started but the link is sadly now dead: http://rcdb.com/9532.htm...

Excellent Switchback photos there! Didn't notice how different Velvet Coaster was between the two pictures, and totally agree in 1920 very 'Scenic Railway' - strangely, the first dip on the 1929 photo really reminds me of Rollercoaster (or Nick Streak if you wish to call it it's current name)...
