Ok Ben just to prove you wrong to make it worthwhile.

When I go to Towers I eat.

A breakfast Roll from Towers family restraunt. £2.99
Explorers Pizza Pasta £8.99
Doughnuts £3.99
Then if I DON'T buy a re-fillable I have around 2-3 Large drinks £7.50 ish for all 3

That is ALREADY a saving.

Then if it is Scarefest, or in Summer I tend to eat again later on, around 6:30pm/7pm in Summer, 8ish Scarefest which is usually Fish n Chips which is normally around £6

This is without an Annual Pass.
So yes I can see how it would be great value in Summer/Scarefest.

Plus means I can get some doughnuts to take home haha!

Outside of Scarefest, that's a saving of a pound (nothing if you get a refillable drink like you obviously would)

Score.

And I highly doubt most people would eat THAT much somehow...

Wow, that's kind-of decent... if your main aim from a visit to Alton Towers is to stuff your face.

The only thing I have at AT is the pizza & pasta because you get 20% off with the pass and you can eat as much as you want - so it means only one break for food and the rest of the time riding. I don't know how anyone can eat £22.95 worth of food in one trip!

I'll be honest and say I don't tend to eat very much at parks. I certainly wouldnt have the breakfast roll or the doughnuts. I tend to just have a main meal at lunch and that is it. I tend to buy a bottle of coke and that lasts me all day. For me, it would be of very little benefit.

I can see how it will be a saving for those who do like to eat and snack a lot though.

Problem is nothing I eat is on that list from what I can see.

The kebab place for starters.

I can see this being good for long hour days and people who don't have a 4 hour drive to get there, we normally stop for food.

I just don't spend £25 when in the park let alone on food.

I can'y believe people are actually saying this is good value?! £22.50?! Good value?

Its something like £8 for unlimited food and drink at the pizza & pasta place! Yes thats only 1 meal, but that would be enough to tide you over for the day, or late afternoon at least.

I agree with those who say it isn't worth it; I spend £10 max on food & drink when I visit Alton. Can't see many using it.

This could easily be open to abuse (or acceptable use as I like to call it ). You could easily order a meal for yourself and then a friend. Not at the same time, I have read the small print, but in reality there is nothing to stop you from ordering something, walking away and passing it to a friend, then going to another outlet for yourself.

Unless I'm missing something? Could be an own goal by Merlin really - and I'm not displeased about that.

It will probably work like it does in the USA. You get a card and they either stamp it or remove a tag.

Before people start jizzing over what "great value" this is, we need to know more details. I can guarantee you it's NOT going to be a park-wide, all-you-can-eat kind of offer.

There WILL be restrictions.

Whilst I think this is excellent value considering the amount of food you get, when I'm at a theme park, I make sure I only eat what I need to fill me up, leaving treats at the very end of my list of things to do. I like to keep my attention on the rides, and don't really want to eat too much. Making sure I'm not sick on the rides and not spending too much time eating are to consider.

Who was jizzing over it? I see no Jizz...

^Two people on the first page for starters, but I was being slightly more preemptive.

I think Gavin is probably right. Merlin do seem to be skilled in making offers sound a lot better than they actually are.

If they do ever release this 'Super Annual Pass', this had better be one of its perks!
