Attention all "lovers" of DT, Ceder Point is putting together an event to benefit Give Kids The World Village. Enjoy some ERT on Disaster Transport for a good cause!
At Disaster Transport Final Dispatch: A Mission for the Kids, guests can become a part of history while helping children with life-threatening illnesses and their families make memories that last a lifetime.
Participation includes complimentary all-day park admission for non-season passholders, an hour of exclusive ride time on Disaster Transport, VIP access to a private reception, a commemorative event t-shirt, a special souvenir and eligibility for the the last ride with the lights on. The top three fundraisers will also receive prizes!

Damn this sucks. It was a pretty cool ride when I went on it. Hope this new wing rider breaks a new record.

Sad day to see two iconic rides go, but it is all apart of progress.

Glad someone else is sad to see it go! That area is gonna look sooo different, and I really did love that ride for the fun factor (and the air conditioning on those hot days). Glad you got all those pics though, it'll be cool to look back on many years down the line!
