Love how it just says "it won't be anything bigger than 65m" like 65m isn't already hyper coaster massive. 🤣 (213ft to save you checking google.)
 
I'm wishfully waiting for a new tilt module to show up at the Vekoma plant in the coming months😇

In all seriousness thought, if this is a coaster I doubt it will be anything too big. Possibly a Vekoma LIM family coaster or something along those lines? I'm curious to see what's in store since not that long ago the Tilt-coaster project was shelfed for lack of finance
 
Last year was the first year since 2018 that I didn't make any trips to Poland.

From having season tickets and making double digit trips per year to none.

Poland's economic growth has meant that the glory days, when visiting there was cheaper than an Alton Towers trip for most, are long gone. I wonder if that, and the added global uncertainty, has affected them at all with international visitors. I remember the first time I visited I paid £4.95 each way for flights and £18 per night for accomodation... That just isn't happening now :/

Anyway, my point is, as much as I miss Zadra, in the current economy, I think it'll have to be a decent thrill coaster, quality water ride or an incredible dark ride to get me back over. Either that or a good old fashioned Ryanair seat sale... 🤣 🤣 🤣
 
Similar story here, I used to be a regular from 2019 to 2023, with annual passes and multiple visits per year.
Pricing did make a difference, I remember a Coke being 4 Zloty during my first visit in 2018, last time I visited it was 12?
I don't blame them for raising prices, but part of what made it so tempting for foreign visitors was the cheap price point.

Will I be visiting again at some point? 100%. But for now, I just don't have the drive anymore to travel there anymore.

I could be wrong on this, but I don't think it's just EL where prices have risen... In Krakow prices are much much higher than when I first went too. The Krakow central hotel we stay in when I take Cara, Hotel Betmanowska, is more than twice the price of when we last went. :(

Sadly I think it's just like in the UK, except possibly worse, where we've seen huge inflation, they've seen even more, relative to where they were a few years ago.

That being said, the price rises at EL are not proportionate to the rises elsewhere. Annual pass went from 359 zl when I first got mine, to 899 zl now!!!!

Yep, my first annual pass was around £70... :( Now it's more like £180... In just 6 or 7 years time.

Of course they 'should' charge what they need to charge... This is more about me reminiscing the good old days when it was cheaper to be an Energylandia regular than a Blackpool Pleasure Beach regular... Flights and digs included.
 
If it were just the "normal" price increases + a bit extra maybe, it would still be fairly affordable. But with flights having easily doubled, accomodation roughly doubling in price (if not more), and the park having more than doubled most of its prices it is really a harder pill to swallow.
If I hadn't been there quite often, I'd probably go there for a couple of days regardless, but Sweet Valley alone isn't enough to persuade me.
It is still not expensive, but certainly no bargain anymore.

Additionaly, since I started doing larger trips, I need to budget my PTO, which leaves less room for a few days in Poland. That's going to change eventually, but at least 26 & 27 will include a large trip, making it more difficult to combine everything.

But... gosh, things were cheap back then. Good old times.

Anyway, I suppose there are no hints of what they're building, are they? The tilt coaster was cancelled and sold to CP, despite receiving additional funding from the EU. Sure, they might purchase a new one anyway, just without any subsidies. My bet is on Vekoma anyway, with them being kind their Europa-Park.
 
I do miss going to this park, 2 fav coasters ever and a happy ridiculous Vekoma time. The low price made it far more accessable so I'm glad I could make it during that time. Now tempt me back please pile of dirt.
 
Fly to Lodz, rent a car, drive to Energylandia & Legendia and visit Mandoria on the way back. If you book far enough ahead you can still get return flights to Lodz for less than £40. Hotels there can be around £25 a night for a pretty decent room.

It's still possible to do Poland ridiculously cheaply.

We had some good times huh? I was out with Liam at the weekend, looking over old photos from our many trips to Energylandia.... Great times.


Just need to remember NOT to order a double vodka and coke.
 
Pinch me, is it 2018 again?! Lol. Love to see some new earthwork!

I did some digging in old threads to see if I could make anything out with the new footers. At this stage of construction, I don't think I see any 'tells' yet as to what manufacturer this'll be... may just have to wait for the ride anchor bolts to show up.

Current construction - note the grey strap.. thing on each foundation

Abyssus - note the grey strap at the bottom, appears to be the same as the new construction, but this could just be how the park does it.
