Favorite Indoor Coasters

When I mean indoor coasters, I'm talking about indoor coasters where it's pitch black and you can't see a thing. Not something like Spongebob at Nickelodeon Universe, where it technically is "indoor."

I'm a fan of indoor coasters, because they greatly change the ride experience and you don't know what's coming (especially during your first ride)! So since I've only been on a few, I'll rank 'em all:

1. Verbolten - yeah I know, it's not entirely indoor :p . But the indoor section was my favorite part! This is where the theming and the thrills were at best.

2. Revenge of the Mummy (Orlando) - lots going on, with some great theming and good thrills.

3. Rockin' Rollercoaster (Orlando) - my first I indoor, launched, and actually "big" roller coaster. I remember the launch being great (haven't ridden it in three years). It was also fun to listen to music during the ride.

4. Space Mountain (Orlando) - Good theming, and I also liked how it was one person per row. Probably would've been meh if it wasn't for the fact that it's indoor.

5. Disaster Transport (RIP) - Very short, but reminded me about how much I like indoor coasters. Cedar Fair could've done a bit better with the theming though, as what they were trying to go for was a nice idea (whatever, it's Cedar Fair). And like Space Mt, it would've been boring if it was outside. Glad I got a chance to ride if before it went.

X:\ No Way Out :p

There are quite a few I like, but none of them can touch Höllenblitz. <3

I am only counting coasters which are enclosed for all of the ride, and can not be seen by people who are not on the ride.

1. Vogel Rok, Efteling
2. Space Mountain, Magic Kingdom
3. Eurosat, Europa Park
4. Rock n Roller coaster, Hollywood Studios
5. Revenge of the Mummy, Universal Studios Florida

1) Revenge Of The Mummy at Universal Orlando.
2) Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris.
3) Rock'n'roller Coaster in Florida.
4) Space Invader 2 (I still miss that ride, shame it went considering being outside in Blackpool can be hell with their weather conditions.)

I'm not going to do a list of preference, but rather name some that I love;

Revenge of the Mummy - Universal Orlando.
Such a fantastic coaster. I really don't need to say anymore. The dark rides bits are great, the actual coaster section is great fun and has a bit of airtime! Also, backwards break <3

Space Mountain - WDW.
I absolutely LOVE it. It's so mental and you really have no clue where you are. The larger drops towards the middle of the ride are also really good back seat!

Space Mountains for me, the Orlando and California ones that is.

The Mummy in Orlando as well.

Space Mountain DL
Mummy USF
Space Mountain MK
Rock n Rollercoaster DHS
Mummy USH
JTA SWF (coaster is enclosed)
Flight of Fear KD
Blazing Fury Dollywood
Exterminator Kennywood
Disaster Transport CP
The Dark Knight 6FGAdv
Skull Mountain 6FGAdv

I think Revenge of the Mummy and Blazing Fury are the only legit inside ones I've been on unless you want to count coasters that have both indoor and outdoor sections like Mystery Mine.

Flight of Fear is by far the best imo! A really good ride made even better by the fact that it's running in the dark :)

Winjas and Euro-Sat are two other personal favourites!

Space Mountain Hong Kong
Euro Sat
Comet Express
Rock 'n' Rollercoaster
Flight of Fear

^I've ridden it twice, including less than two weeks ago with Ian, but already forgotten about it. It's extremely dark and much more fun than I expected. Thanks for reminding me.

My indoor coaster list (screw the rule of where it's "pitch black and you can't see a thing", as I can only think of a couple of coasters where that's actually the case)...

Underground, Adventureland
Black Hole, Alton Towers
Space Mountain, Disneyland California
Space Mountain, Disneyland Hong Kong
Space Mountain, Disneyland Paris
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Disneyland Paris

Flight of Fear, Kings Dominion
Miner Mike, Knucklehead's
Opa, Mount Olympus
Avatar Airbender, Nick Universe
Back at the Barnyard, Nick Universe
Fairly Odd Coaster, Nick Universe

Boomerang, Toverland
Revenge of the Mummy, Universa Studios Florida
Revenge of the Mummy, Universal Studios Hollywood

My favourites from this list would probably be the Winjases, Hollywood's Mummy, the first half of Scooby Doo or any of the Space Mountains (minus Paris's version, of course).

Space Mountain - Magic Kingdom <3

Runaway Mountain - Six Flags Over Texas

FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!!!!! - Silver Dollar City

Black Diamond - Knoebels

Skull Mountain - Six Flags Great Adventure (nice bits of airtime in the back)

Rock 'N' Rollercoaster - MGM Studios (it will always be MGM studios in my mind)

Nothing

Space Mountain (post remodel) - Disneyland

1. Disaster Transport- yes.
2. Space Mountain Disney World- CRAZY
3. Rock N Rollercoaster- being an Aerosmith fan. I had to love it.
4. Mummy- good until the Rollercoaster part
5. Flight of Fear KD- was fun and rode front seat so KD>KI
6. Flight of Fear KI- ^
7. Runaway Mountain- better than expected
8. Blazing Fury- good dark ride, s**t coaster

^ I don't believe that too many people have ridden it :)

For me it's Rock'n'Rollercoaster in DLP

^^ No, because the coaster itself is **** and the only reason to mention it is to say "look what I've been on and you haven't."
