Do we really think Fun Spot is in any position to be dictating such terms to Six Flags?

I mean, easily. Six Flags wants to cheap out as hard as possible and Fun Spot can give a discount in exchange for keeping the name. I'm not saying that's what happened or that I believe that's what happened, but that's how they easily could.

I think it's probably more likely so that Six Flags just doesn't wanna repaint the thing since the current paint is so fresh and if they just renamed it without a re-theme people would look at them sideways for being lazy, which they are.

I really don't get the hate for the name. Reading complaints about it not being easy to pronounce makes me laugh. AF1 is a fire name and at least something original unlike Goliath, Batman or Ride of Steel.

I'm even more confident in this after it got revealed they named their Vekoma Thrillglider... Thrillglider
