Going Beyond Vertical

I live in Florida and have not ridden many coasters outside my home state...YET!
I've done loopers, dive machines, vertical lifts, launchers, flyers, inverts, and woodies, but one type of element I have yet to experience that I really would like to is a beyond 90 degree drop ala Maverick, Fahrenheit, Dare Devil Dive.
What is the beyond vertical sensation like? Is it a free fall/plunging sensation like a dive machine, or is it more of a quick bout of airtime followed by coming out of a dive loop sensation? Or completely different than either situation described? Honestly the idea freaks me out, yet I really want to try one on for size.
What is a good first time beyond vertical ride?
Any good explanation of this element I would love!
Thank you :--D

You come out of your seat for a split second and then you are back in your seat. It's hard to explain. It doesn't feel exactly like airtime (but somewhat similar), it is more like just being flung out of the train very quickly. If I could compare it to anything it would be like the top hat on Full Throttle, a moment of a strong push against the restraint. Each ride is different depending on the speed and size of the drop. The first one you would want to try is Fahrenheit, it releases you slow at the top of the lift and is a very "stretched" out drop compared to most (eurofighters), so in the front it isn't that bad. Maverick is probably the most insane out of the beyond vertical drop coasters out there. Unlike Fahrenheit you start of cruising up the launch/lsm/lift hill and start the drop very quick. In the back that drop is crazy and really feel like you are flying out of the train.

Your question answered in a simple answer.

The beyond vertical sensation isn't particularly great and I'd take a 90 degree drop any day.

Just a bit more airtime. It's a fun sensation.

Aye it's a hard one to explain, you don't even really notice it, moreso you notice the pull out as it's a bit more forceful than it usually would be
