There is only one article on this so far but not available to see in the European region, but Kennywood will be retracking Thunderbolt and it won't operate over halloween

Kennywood will close Thunderbolt during Phantom Fright Nights to begin track replacement work on roller coaster

Kennywood says it needs to start working on the Thunderbolt for next season. The beloved roller coaster won't be running when the amusement park transitions to Phantom Fright Nights for Halloween.

Good. It's rough as hell. I wonder how much they're doing and who is doing it. The whole bowl could use a once over.

Only rode it once but I thought it rode fine? And I rode towards the back. But I guess a little retracking wouldn’t hurt.

The laterals are the best part of the ride so so as long as it keeps some of that violence it’ll be good.

Always good to hear of TLC on classic woodies. I have to say Jack Rabbit especially was running butter smooth during my last visit.

Would love the headlights to be returned to their rightful place on those NATs... a guy can dream.
