**NEWS ALERT** The Force is coming to the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort! In March 2012 we'll be opening our brand new indoor Star Wars Miniland Experience which will recreate seven of the most famous scenes from the Star Wars films!! We'll be revealing details about the scenes soon and we'd love to hear which are your favourites..!

This attraction will go where the old rocket racers ride was.
Thoughts?

Good to know it isn't just a generic Miniland extension like I originally thought it was gonna be.

Should be good. :)

Do kids nowadays actually like Star Wars?

I would have thought that Harry Potter would have been a better choice? Anyway, whatever. I'm not wetting myself over this but at the very least, I know it'll be perfectly executed. I've got a lot of faith in Legoland when it comes to theming.

Couldn't agree more Ian, although the Harry Potter themed attractions are all tied up with Universal and I would imagine they want to keep it that way.

I just don't see why every year they get something new and yet Chessington get bugger all.

I agree with Ian the Star Wars thing is not really a kids thing. But it's just been rolled out in the American parks so it's easy for them to just add it to the UK.

Don't forget that Legoland is for little kids..who get taken by their parents. I can imagine a day out at a Star Wars themed park would be much more appealing to Dad than Pepper Pig. At what age does pester power really kick in? That'll be the market for Harry Potter.

There's actually a massive push still on the Star Wars franchise. Lucas is pushing pushing pushing the Clone Wars rubbish.

Lego Star Wars is huge though, and sells more than Lego Harry Potter - it's more accessible to the Lego toy age group and there's several episodes of something Star Wars on at least two of the kid's channels each day. Harry Potter just isn't the right age group.

I'd love to head back to Legoland, but I just can't be doing with the it when the kids are off (the only time we'll go). The place is just horrendously busy :(
