No Limits Competition VII- Shuttle Me Down!

Yes this is the first of the Dave-era competitions to use a Shuttle roller coaster as the theme of the competition!
Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight is looking for a new roller coaster to bring in thrill seekers and tourists alike to the small island off the British coast. They want it thrilling and have a great compact layout. They’ve asked Vekoma to be the manufacturer of the roller coaster with the option maybe for it to be an Invertigo design. Reason for this decision is Vekoma’s past experiences with the Boomerang, Invertigo and Déjà vu shuttle coasters.

Rules

- No Tools, circles are allowed though
- No posting of construction screenshots in the topic
- No prefab supports allowed, if you add them you will be deducted points (as it’s frowned upon ;))
- Station can be moved, but the train length must be kept to 6 cars long!
- All supports, track, heartline must be kept within the box!
- No 3D’s as it won’t get you any higher marks
- Do not NLpack the track!
- Always email the tracks to me, don’t PM or send me over MSN please, as I forget and leave you out of the rider’s choice…..
- NO LAUNCHES
Marking Scheme

Building Technique -/10 (-/6 for Track and -/4 for Supports)
Adrenaline -/5
Originality -/5
Realism -/5

Bonus Points!

Choose one of the following to receive bonus points

Use 3 inversions that two must either wrap inside each other (like a corkscrew through a loop) or one inversion that is unique (i.e. wraparound corkscrew).
- 10 points

Longer than 2,500ft, and can make it back to the station without loosing pace.

- 10 points

This gives combined points of 35! Which worked quite well with the other comp, much to my surprise?

The ride is due 16th May!

Meh, I was hoping that you had an ridiculously short length for bonus points.

But I'm in :)

Ha!

The shuttle comp that Jahan and Arrowfanman did years ago was the first one I ever entered, and I came third.

Good times.

I'll probably enter this one, too, all being well.

BTW, I like how you've told us not to package the track or include 3Ds and then done both yourself. :p

Yeah, but the concrete slab is a good guideline for keeping footers inside the box.

Lets just make due date 20th of april ;)

Im in. LOL Dave, way to go with car count

No launch?
Well thats buggered my ride up already...
Can you define 'unique inversion', do you mean any inversion not featured on any coaster, or can I build a bowtie, as there is only one of them around? And what about a cutback/tongue, they are pretty unique (i.e. 1)? Or do you mean one no body else builds for the comp?

Track is completed. Working on bankings now, and then supports. Then send in. Took me a bit of time to make a couple elements. Stole them from a previous track and just made them better :p

EDIT: DONE! Now I think that's me AND loefet that are done again before everyone else even has their track halfway done, lol  Now if only Dave would take my file I'm sending to him....

^ You have no idea...

I'm currently working on a B&M invert at the moment though.

^ Owned!

My layouts all done, I need work on the braking back into the station, smoothing, and supports.

This is the most compact ride ive built in a long time

I've finally developed the guts to think my skills could be shown in one of these, but the file won't open for me. It just loads as a green background and says the file cannot be found.

What am I doing wrong?

^ The file is a nlpack file, since it includes both the track file and some extra objects. You can't open it in NoLimits directly, you have to open it with the Track Packager which will extract it for you.

Download the program + patch from: HERE

After you have extracted it then you will find the track file in the NL track folder.

^^Xpress maybe if you took longer on your track you might have a chance of winning? :p

Now who said it isn't smooth? I spent all of yesterday on it, AND working on another giant project. Oh, it's smooth alright.
