1. Project Hail Mary
What an absolutely wonderful time, and confidently my new favourite movie... ever. I had such an unbelievably wide smile on my face pretty much the whole time and loved pretty much every moment of it. Not everyone's cup of tea for whatever reasons, but absolutely mine.

The newest release, Resident Evil feels like the perfect video game movie, tackling the concept incredibly well. An almost perfect blend of nail-biting horror and comedy, had me both horrified and laughing very loudly at some of the things that happen. While I thought the ending was very abrupt and felt like the movie could have gone on for another 10-15 minutes, after reading discussion online I realise it was pretty good in the end but still knocked off half a star.
6. Coyote vs. Acme
The story of this movie almost getting cancelled and deleted after it was finished probably played a part in why I liked it so much, I'll be real, but even not considering that, it's still a great story that's told pretty well. Not everyone will be a fan of the 3D animated cartoons, but the slapstick humour that's pretty much everywhere was a joy to look at. I'm so happy to see it breaking even at the box office.

Posthomously moved up two spots. I've finally watched every Spider-Man movie. It felt right to raise this a little.

Unfortunately I love movie parodies so much more than I ever realistically should, this had multiple laugh-out-loud moments. I never realised that the Scary Movies were like this, I guess it shows how uncultured I've been on this type of stuff. The third act with the reunion of the original cast (I think?) through to the end was a bit lost on me, but everything beforehand was great.
12. End of Oak Street
I enjoyed it. You can obviously see that it's supposed to be a '7/10 lazy Sunday afternoon trip to the cinema' movie and nothing more, and that's exactly what it was. It's fun and not much more than that, but it didn't really need to be anything more than that. Maybe the budget was a little ridiculous for what it ended up being though.
Loved the very long snake monster. By far my favourite creature.

This one also has an interesting history for becoming unintentionally the most profitable movie in history(?) compared to its budget. Made by just a mother and her son, it's a Chinese animated movie about some cows who migrate or something. The extremely poor animation and visuals instantly gave it a small cult status that even touched upon Western countries and became a nice bit of symbolism for how even the worst human-made thing can surpass that of AI. But I have to put that message aside, because despite that... it's still a pretty awful movie, and there's only so much that "at least it's better than AI" can do for my thoughts regarding something. I was unbelievably bored throughout almost all of it, with the absurdity of what I was watching being the main thing keeping me awake.
