Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

Finally! Concrete information at last :p Should be fun, I'd make the effort to go and ride it :p couldn't they just get their arses in gear and get it up and running in 42 days time? :p

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

Max speed is only 65 mph, but nearly 600 feet up is gonna be **** nuts! Judging by top speed, I can't imagine the biggest drop being more than 150 feet, probably a few 100 foot drops followed by some wrapping of the tower.

Glorified El Loco.

I sincerely hope to be proven wrong.

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

So I take it nobody noticed the interesting wording about the first drop?

Inverted-G roll.

Is this also taking the worlds highest inversion record as well? Cause if it is doing something akin to Smiler and Iron Medusa, then look 500ft down, while upside-down, will be a major mind ****.

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

Worlds tallest coaster, and the thread doesn't even deserve to be stickied ;)

I haven't seen many images aside from the actual tower. Does it come away from the tower at all, and have an actual layout?

Although that is just concept art and not a guaranteed layout - you can see how it works in terms of the layout with the tower, although, Florida's version apparently goes across some buildings that are under the tower and has sections away, wether or not that happens is another thing.

POV IS OUT!
Oh my, it looks like it may end up being rather good.

Looks like it has 9 inversions.... that would give it the most in North American (8 would also give them that as well) and it seems to have at least 2 beyond 90* drops

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

An outward banked turn, then a beyond vertical drop at that height! Speakless, I have no words.
Orlando trip booked!!!

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

Wow that outward banked corner will be interesting at close to 500ft :O

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

Omg that looks so much better than I thought it would be. Looks scary tbh.

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

I seriously hope it will ride as good as it looks. Hope that they're better at making quality rides than Zamperla :)

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

Insane the scale of this layout. I am sure there will be plenty of trims involved.

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

I think that outward banked turn is going to be both vile and awesome at the same time :p . It looks pretty mindblowing though. Very long, decent amount of variety and quite thrilling. Now let's hope it will be smooth...

Re: I Drive Orlando | Skyscraper| US Thrill Rides

It looks incredible! A long ride and with those elements at the height of it, should be really good.
