RMC Introduces Wild Moose Coaster

It's got nothing in common with a Wild Mouse but the footprint. And the layout seems just dull. Never in my life would I have thought I'd say this, but I'd rather ride a Wild Mouse or Spinning Mouse but this RMC.

I can definitely see your point, but knowing RMC and what they could do in terms of a layout, I'd be very be interested to see how this concept develops. The compact footprint, likely lower cost and target audience may move us a step closer to finally seeing an RMC in the likes of the UK. One can hope anyway.

Wow this topic has been quiet for nearly 3 years, but RMC are now teasing that they have actually sold one of these, complete with a few pictures of what looks like a test setup:

I wonder if its gonna go to Kentucky Kingdom in that old cinema building?
It was an option on that survey wasn't it?

The stats in the video don't seem to match any of the survey options. But putting one of these inside a box would certainly make it a bit more compelling IMO.

From an enthusiast perspective, I think these will live or die by the restraints:

If it's just slow forceless meandering with restrictive restraints, probably won't be so popular.

But if it's got quick transitions with a bit of zip and some decent restraints, I could see this being an interesting niche from other family coaster offerings.

Actually I'm going to copy and paste a thesis over from my original post on ParkFans;

We all know Kentucky Kingdom is building a new indoor coaster for 2027 inside the 5D Cinema building. The interior and more has already been gutted, they have officially confirmed a new experience will debut next year there, and the one survey was released prior to that.

Darren Torr confirmed ten months ago on a podcast that the first Wild Moose would debut in 2027 with a custom design and 1200-ish feet of track.

One of that park's indoor coaster survey's options was a "compact family coaster" with a length of 1285 feet and 14 passenger vehicles. Usually when you see an odd number of rows it means single-row cars, which is Wild Moose hardware. Yeah neither of these figures match the stock layouts RMC has presented, but who cares this can go custom.

Another one of the options was an "indoor family wood coaster" that is all but confirmed to belong to Gravity Group because whom else. Adventure Coast Southport actually leaked a legitimate design pitch from Korey Kiepert, and we can see it's not all that different from a Wild Moose really.

The third and final option on KK's survey was a spinner who's stats matched up fully with Zamperla's lesser-produced 1066' stock layout, which gives credible weight to any mentioned statistics being legitimate rather than just random approximate numbers.

All three coaster concepts had several things in common. Superficially a compact indoor attraction with tight curves, yes, but also something with a lower hardware budget, no actual new footers (they'll need to build indoors), and able to be delivered on a relatively shorter timeline. Which means that we are more statistically likely to see an RMC Wild Moose rather than a more expensive and longer-development custom steel coaster from a higher-end manufacturer (i.e. not the Mack family spinner allegedly coming Stateside in 2027).

There's of course other supporting factors as well, like the 1200' estimation and RMC being a known (even recent) collaborator for Herschend.

That's my thesis, if anyone has another idea then by all means rest your case.
